I think their date might be correct, although their system is still very confusing. I'll try to get things straightened out.

Yeah, I guess the dates they post the charts go up too, but I wish they'd put them off to the bottom corner or something.

Rearranging the above for the real rankings on the 14th.

Daito? Taito surely.

Minna no Golf has always been more popular than Ridge Racer.

No Ridge Racer game has ever sold over a million copies in Japan, where as every offline Minna No Golf has sold well over a milion, the first selling over 2 million.

wasn't namco planning to sell 300.000 ridge racers for psp launch? i wonder if it will make it

They shipped 300,000 for the launch. And magically, with a consistently growing userbase, they will eventually sell them all.

Not sure if these are correct.

So DS > PSP? It seems puzzle games are really unpopular in JP, first Zoo Keeper bombed horribly and now Lumines. How did Mr Driller DS do?

I'm surprised Vampire Chronicles bombed in comparison to Ridge Racers and Golf. The DS did pretty well really. Sure, the PSP was only out for a day, but considering the lines, I would imagine they sold all or almost all that was avaliable. Though if that's true, some of those software figures aren't encouraging. But the long holiday season may cure that. DS software sales held up better than I thought they would for the most part.
