Is anyone here going to see Perfume in LA at The Wiltern this coming August?

The tickets went live this morning... I couldn't get GA Pit :'(
I bought a ticket for the SF show. A friend had pit for LA in his cart and the software stalled and timed out so he lost it. Couldn't get back to get Pit. :(

Sweet. Got vip/reserved seats for the SF show myself.
Sucks to hear about your friend =(

If anyone here is willing to sell their GA Pit (LA) ticket please PM me!

This is the first thing that comes to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcz89e42XEM

after slowdive's suggestion, maybe this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx2PQeI-vnQ

unfortunately your description doesn't narrow things down that much. "flight attendant" is like #3 behind "schoolgirl" and "maid" for common themes. any idea around what year? style of music?

this is a good shirt. I would wear this shirt.

Bingo! Tokyo Jihen. Unfortunately that video is blocked in the US :(

Are there any good shows I should be looking out for in Tokyo around April 28-May 10? I don't know how popular Tofubeats is on this thread but I really like him. My buddy and I might go catch him when we get in but we were looking for more of a rock show.

Granted, the last time I ever listened to J-Rock was Asian Kung Fu Generation (Are they still a thing?) and the Pillows... Recently heard of Tricot as well.

Yes, AKFG released an album last year and a single two months ago. Still going strong.
I'll give you a list of shows you should check out tonight when I get home :)

EDIT : Alright let's seeeee
April 29 : Hitorie at Shinkiba Studio Coast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUqPaZ-rVLk)
April 30 : Kuusou Iinkai at Zepp Diver City (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i3qNE6rOIw)
May 3rd, 4th and 5th there's the Japan Jam Beach festival, where a lot of hip rock bands are playing. Definitely recommend going there : nice setting and an always solid line-up.
May 5th : go!go!vanillas at Akasaka Blitz (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tis5QqV0Dgk)
Friday 6th : AL at Akasaka Blitz (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AirC-4K5kGU)
May 8th : BIGMAMA at Zepp Tokyo (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHoi0TWSueA)

Dayum at Hello Sleepwalkers's new album, it's goooooooooooooooooood. Didn't expect much from it but I love every second of it.
The digest doesn't do it justice : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUzkqUtc840

damn, eyes to the skies sounds good...

A TRACK-BY-TRACK GUIDE TO THE NEW BABYMETAL ALBUM

high quality writing here. apparently some tracks are fast, except the ones that aren't. some songs are loud, but have quiet parts. some are quiet with loud parts.

I was at least hoping for a writing credit breakdown but I guess I hope too hard
forwarding to my friend, thanks!

ヒラノノゾミ from BILLIE IDLE® - "どうせ消えてしまう命なら..." feat. ファーストサマーウイカ、カミヤサキ、テンテンコ、ミチバヤシリオ

kind of funny they started off with Nozoshan's track. I wonder if they'll do videos for all four members? Mitchel <3. actually the whole video is pretty cute, tugging at my BiS heartstrings... :')

is this the first music thing Mitchel's done since leaving? Also I have to revise my predictions for best track on this EP, I wasn't expecting Non to bring in a bunch of ringers.

Oh god Mitchel and Tenten and Uipon and Saki as well <3 <3 <3
Also I have weakness for those melancholic piano-led rockers BiS used to do like Hide Out Cut and Odd Future so this song is really making me wish BiS were still together and hitting me right in dem feels ;_;

hah

and welcome to the club, Jintor. I've given myself too many headaches hunched over a magazine, scribbling kanji into my phone

i finally came to the realisation there's no point where i'm magically going to be able to read articles... i've got to go out and target them

though i should probably be trying to cram n3 vocab but also like i don't remember any of it without context, so meh

Fuck, I think I read the tweet wrong, sorry for getting your hopes up.

crappy situation all around. I kind of feel bad for them because they're seeing some real garbage parts of America, lol. I considered going to the Baltimore show, but it's at a dump dive bar above a korean market in a crappy part of town (tbf, all of baltimore is a crappy part of town)

it's kind of funny if you're a punk band or something but I feel bad for the girls

also here's an actual google street view capture down the street from the venue. :\

Nah, she made it. Are you going to her final show in Richmond stump sock? Be sure to give her a good send-off on my behalf too.

that's good. she must have traveled separately or the other members are avoiding her or some combination of the two. yeah, the Richmond show. I assume Hijokaidan are the headliners so it's going to be a late night. just realized that's the Trash-Up!! lady there too. maybe I can snag some merch at reasonable prices.

I'm guessing I missed the performance part on account of being asleep :\

the extended 10 minute laptop improv half-spoken word nonsense (incl. something about twitter?), Pika walking around playing with stuffed animals, etc. they looked like they were having fun, which you don't really see from a lot of reunions. and then they pulled out the real instruments just long enough for Oni to hand the guitar to an audience member.

Oh right, I missed the stuffed animals, saw most of it though.

Saw tricot last night in Berlin and they are a-mazing. I had so much fun. They are really awesome live. They played in a really crappy venue, but the stage was like 50cm high and I stood right in front of it. ヒロヒロ was literally right in my face lol

ヒロヒロ and イッキュウ came out again after almost everybody left, so I talked a tiny bit with them, bought 2 shirts, got the signature of both and a picture with them :3

This was way better than Kyary's show in Cologne two years ago.
I became a big fan after only knowing them for a few weeks now.

Love their look, love the song, love the barebones but effective setting. So stoked for the album.
