Oh yeah, didn't notice Porno Graffiti in the white side.
So 1 red and 3 white for me. Go white I guess. :lol

Any Supercell fans here? The new album is getting constant play from here onwards, it all kicks off with a really strange cover/ode to Hoppípolla by Sigur Ros, which pleases me greatly. There's a couple of absolutely incredible tracks on it though. They've come a long way since starting off as a guy creating Vocaloid songs. Jikan Ressha is my favourite, although can't find any YouTube links for it that haven't already been taken down.

So good.

I'm liking that band. For real. Thanks for recommending them
I just knew that it was up to you ally. Yeah, fantastic record and sites like The Fake DIY and The Quitus are putting their album in one of the best albums of the year.

I don't see it as good, but its definitely amazing.

Ha, very cool! I love the elastic feel of those tracks. Let me check it out.

I am glad you like it. I am playing that record over and over again just for how fun it sounds and the energy they produce through thier music is are immense.

Glad to see we agree on more things that aren't Football :)

We should have beaten Liverpool

You might love it purely on the fact they changed their Record Label which allowed them to get a more highly recording studio to produce their sound and they also got help from various producers with engineering their new album. You might not think its a big deal, but in the world of Shoegaze and Lo-Fi, a proper produced album feels widely different from an un-engineered one purely from the fact that the genre relies on distortion, abrasion, white noise and pedal effect that could be manipulated post-processed in order to output certain sound.

The NOVEMBERS is one band that stayed quite consistence in terms of putting out quality release after another and do it in a quantity since they do release a lot of albums in such a short amount of time.

Couple of new songs underway:

I don't think anyone have posted, but Group_Inou have released a single through their website and through their Soundcloud and its FREE. Its bloody amazing.

Its called MANSION an here it is : https://soundcloud.com/gal_official/mansion

Pop-Office is gearing for their new release (which got released last week) and it happen to be their first official release even though they have been around for over 10years. Japan have been late to the part within the Chillwave movement that started early of the last decade and Pop-Office are one of the forefront in bringing the genre in Japan. They have released sever demos and singles unofficially through their gigs and their underground fanbase but ''Portrait in Sea'' seems to be the first published album by the record label Knew Noise Recording who handled Bo NIngen (In Japan), Sekaitekinaband and She Talks Silence.

Their new PV is also one of the tracks you would expect from their debut release.

Young Town: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GY2b2QNVQ-0

There is also the indie darling Siamase Cats who are pretty loved by small yet dedicated fans because their devil-may-care attitude and the intentionally amateur, bedroom musical quality which is terribly mixed, horribly engineered music that is delivered sloppy with gawky vocals, yet have this charm of the likes Pavement in the sense that they don't fucking care. They released a Split EP with Turntable Films back in October, which happens to be free by the way from their website and is looking to release a new album, perhaps after they finish their tour in March. However, Strangely, yet not-strange enough knowing them, They have made a new PV for a song that featured in lats years 2nd album ''Takarajima'' and is surprisingly professional by their standard and seems to have this Surf-like feel to it. Wired!

It is called Hinto no Hito: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RH4-F092gkc

Also, remember PURPLE? Yeah, neither can the Internet. To jog some memories, last year's best album of the year came from a triple-split album by 3 bands who were Lillies and Remains, Sekaitekinaband and, yes you guessed it right, Purple. That album was a memory line through the Post-punk itself having featured most, if not all of the sub-genere that style had to offer from Funk based Post-punk, Dark Punk and from Darkwave to Gothic Rock. While Lillies and Remians perfected the Shoeagaze based styled Post-Punk with Synth added to it in that album, and while Sekatekinaband infused garage punk into the genre, PURPLE reminded us why we love the genre in the first place. They basically took the Gothic aspect of Post-punk that was introduced by the like of Bauhaus and Early The Cure and added another dimension of atmosphere to it with their reliance of distorted ambience and deep melancholic vocals. Now, while Lillies and Remains remained popular and Sekaitekinabad have attracted a large crowd by supporting the likes of Bo Ningen and Plasticzooms , PURPLE remained hidden, just because their fucking dumb name which, even using the mighty Google search, is impossible to track down. All of a sudden they have released a single and here is it:

Mona Lisa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyg7UfUSn4I

Maybe an album or an EP is imminent?

Everyone knows Blood Thirsty Butchers, right? no need to introduce that band, so here is their new PV which is part of their new album Youth which came out a week ago:

DISTORTION: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ur6s8hmMUqQ

Finally, the new guys in town whom everyone is predicting to rip the Japanese indie scene apart ala Czecho no Republic, Heveannstamp, etc
before they become major and turn into a zombified version of themselves
is this band who call themselves Shiggy Jr. The hype for this band is huge and thier debut revord have even been released in the western shops of Itunes. Just judge it for your self:

Saturday Night to Sunday Morning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq5DPSPP47g

Did I say Finally? I lied because I am gonna put this PV here just because it could be the best song this year.

I don't get the "being with a major label = becoming zombified" thing.
If anything it allowed all the bands I like to drastically improve.
Bands like Sakanaction, Radwimps, the telephones, Straightener, SiM, Czecho No Republic, KANA-BOON, Haruka to Miyuki... come to my mind. The list could go on.
I'm always happy to hear that an artist or band I love finally signed with a major label.
Being an indie band doesn't automatically means that your music is better, too.

Since we're talking about that, Tesla Doesn't Know How To Cry (テスラは泣かない) announced their major debut, they're now with EMI.

The song is really great. These guys are definitely my favorite indie band. Wonder if they'll go major next year, it'd be great.
The vocalist's face fascinates me. My gf thinks he has a weird face but I don't know... There's just something about him.

Listened to two new releases that came out yesterday.
First is Gesu no Kiwami Otome.'s new EP. It's quite good, on par with their previous EP. Still a bit rough around the edges but it was great.

I see that their major debut is coming soon. Actually, the iTunes page says it's distributed by Space Shower Music AND Warner Music. So... I guess they're already with Warner Music? It's a bit confusing.

Finally we got plenty's "new" EP. "New", because it's just 6 old songs with new arrangements. However they bring a new dimension to the songs. Some are more emotional thanks to strings, some have a heavier sound. It's really great, didn't expect it to be that good.

EDIT : ok I've listened to the new [Champagne] song 20 times already. Godlike.

I knew the original "Niiiice" didn't show your true feelings. That's the Kurita response I expected.

The new Champagne song is good, but I don't think I like it as much as the songs from their latest album. The video was pretty good, love the bits they leave in at the end.

omg I love this song from YeYe. I have to check her album out now

Thanks for reminding me. I was really looking forward to listen to her new album, but kind of forgotten about here. Yeah, that PV is pretty swell.

Love her so much!

On another note, the new Tamurapan album is coming out in 12 days time. My excitement for this one is through the roof. I can't contain myself.
