finally heard the new tricot single. Pretty cool, but the upload I heard sounded like it was literally mic recorded off an external source lol. I wonder who's drumming. Anyways, looks like some places have started accepting pre-orders for the wide release in August. There will be a limited edition with a DVD. Not sure what the contents are but I hope it has some pro-shot live footage.

I'm not really into the whole Japanese music scene like most of you, but I just want to comment how great the new Charisma.com album is. I discovered them last year and loved their first album. I was looking forward to the new cd and have been listening to it nearly constantly since it released. They are legit great artists.

Neat loop when you jump from the end straight back to the start. Well or if the video is on repeat.
They posted the rest of the PV as a separate video
The video definitely improved my feelings about the song (which I liked more than most Ringo fans, it seemed like).

I was worried at first that the venue, Club Asia, would hurt the performance. While the acoustics and sound equipment weren't the greatest, and I had trouble seeing at times (which is unusual for me at Japanese concerts), it was still a fantastic show. My favorite part was probably when they performed my favorite song on Symbiosis, "Listen Listen." So goooood. They didn't talk that much until they came out for their first encore, about an hour and a half of playing later, but they mentioned that this was probably their first sold out show! I thought that was so awesome.
So, they were super high energy, and everyone was dancing. I didn't realize how much HaKU makes me want to dance until I saw them live, in fact. Really fun, and they even had a showdown between the bass and guitar in which Haruna played a bass line cover of "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid. That was pretty amusing. Great show!

For reference in case people haven't heard of Ichiko Aoba, and I guess I'd like artists similar to Yura Yura Teikoku's first album as it's my favourite by them, but I like a lot of their other stuff as well.
Any other recommendations are welcome too, always up for trying new artists, but I will say that I'm not a huge fan of the Asian pop scene.
