If this premiere is anything less than 30 mins late and 30 mins long before we hear the full song, ima call it quits on this hip-hop thing.
 
I hope all of MCHG goes in a more electronic direction so we can say RIP to this current trap song slump and at least introduce some new songs into this game. Save us Yeezus and Timboses.

Jay-Z won’t be making a marquee appearance at the Ed Sullivan Theater after all.

The city suddenly yanked approval for the mega-rapper’s planned concert Monday atop the Midtown marquee for the “Late Show with David Letterman,’’ sources said.

“The mayor’s office approved it, and then just like that, it got denied,” one police source told The Post yesterday.

Reps for Jay-Z, Letterman, the city and the NYPD had planned to meet at the “Late Show” offices yesterday to work out concert details.

But the meeting was abruptly canceled — and everyone involved was told that the event was now a no-go, sources said.

The police source speculated: “It’s because of the holiday weekend. They were concerned about fireworks and terrorism.”

To be honest, I don't see how Sammy is going to sell more phones off this.

I mean.. are there really people out there choosing a Galaxy S phone over another so they could cop the Jay album early/for free? lol

There is no one saying this is going to save hip hop and the hype isn't even great enough for it to be called "over hyped" this thread is only 6 pages long. I'm excited for the dope production and if Jay brings it then that'll be a nice surprise too, since it's been too long.

Well their name has been tied to all the promotional material for the album. Unrelated to the free album they clearly want people to think of samsung when you think of MCHG. Also, I'm assuming that they may see this is a marketing strategy for future albums. If they do people might want phones to get free music.

I saw people in lines outside Gamestop to get NBA2K just because it says "Jay z", bet you phone stores will have people buying or switching. This guys brand is that powerful.

Just going by the Ad campaign it seems extremely overhyped in that sense, it isnt also trying to be a hip hop savior album either just
Sean Carter doing an album not Jayz, hell thats basically what this album IS, notice the crossed out Jay z design.

What I have seen is peeps bragging about owning the GS line (outside of GAF).

The sad part is, that I know people literally spent 60 because of that reason alone
 
So the first one million people get the album for free, will it download to your memory, or just a stream through the app deal? Will the servers hold up?
