Jeb Bush says, like his brother, he would have gone to war with Iraq

Looks like he's decided that was the wrong answer and is walking it back:

A tweet from Zeke Miller, Time's political reporter:

The Iraq War is not popular! Who knew?

This backpeddling is worse then just pretending going to Iraq was a good idea. Now people will label him as wrong on foreign policy and a waffler.

Bushes gonna Bush.

That walkback is as wince-inducing as his original "Sure, I'd plunge America into that quagmire myself if I coulda".

Any day soon we'll see a Magic 8 Ball enter the running. I'd give it decent chances of winning the Republican primary, and even better chances of becoming a talking head for Fox News.

So that's what, four different answers given over the last week? What a joke.

It's almost like he just woke up and decided to start a campaign. Whose running his campaign if they thought the Iraq decision wouldn't come up and didn't plan for it properly.
His candidacy is clearly in a pre-alpha stage. Completely and utterly not ready for primetime.

“If I go beyond the consideration of running to be an actual candidate, do you want people to just bend with the wind, to mirror people’s sentiment whoever is in front of you? ‘Oh, yes, I used to be for that but now, I’m for this.’ Is that the way we want to elect presidents?”

this is the only positive thing I take from this intervention.
Like, this is actually a not bad couple of sentences.
Fairweather politicians are the fucking worst.

Time's full story on his latest statements.

Sure, IF he actually did that. But I think the sequence of events over the last few days makes it clear he's perfectly willing to shift.

Absolutely agree on this.
We have a dude like that in France that's always "We need to be honest and tell the truth to people, they have a right to know this and that" every 6 months like he's going to revolutionize anything.
I think I hate this kind the most.
