It wouldn't surprise me if they just started over in which case it's probably at least another 3 years like Booodlines 2 and MP4

To my understanding Grubb was referring to a version of the remake that was in development at Aspyr. According to rumors Saber took over its development and started over from scratch at a similar time. I believe it was confirmed a while ago Saber is indeed working on it
