So he used Trump's death penalty ad against the Central Park 5 as an example of how he is for law and order in his first interview today. I'm not sure you could be any more tone deaf.

Yeah... not off to a great start. =/

And for the new page:

Call your Senators, and keep calling.http://www.senate.gov/senators/contact/

He has to be confirmed by the Senate, and this is something they can actually do (whether he gets thru or not because of the majority is a different matter).

Whatever you want, but you can just follow a basic script. Something like:

"Hi,

My name is [Name] and I'm a constituent of Sen. [Senator Name]. I wanted to leave the Senator a message.

I wanted to let the Senator know that I'm strongly opposed to the nomination of Sen. Sessions as Attorney General. His past, recorded racist remarks and actions towards minorities makes him unfit for the office, and I find it wholly unacceptable. I expect the Senator to address these issues in the hearings and oppose any efforts to confirm his nomination."

It doesn't have to be anything grandiose. Just to the point, your position, and reiterate that you're a constituent and are following the matter. Hold your officials accountable and act.

This is not okay.

Yup, this is basically what I did. I just called both of my Senators and said:
"Hello. My name is (Real Name) and I'm a constituent of Sen. (Name). I'm calling to let her/him know that I'm strongly opposed to President Elect Donald Trump's nomination of Senator Jeff Sessions to the office of Attorney General. An individual with a history of racist remarks such as Sen. Sessions does not hold the values we hold dear as Americans and has no business in the office of Attorney General. I expect the Senator to stand up for these values by strongly opposing this nomination and refuse any similar nominations the President-Elect might propose. Thank you."

I wonder what he'll do about marijuana, both recreational and medical. He seems extremely against it for whatever reason.
