The "HD" versions streaming are just the original HDTV masters. The show was shot for old 1080i HDTVs, but the CG was still rendered in SD. The res switching can be annoying, especially in shots where there's a CG element with live action.

From my understanding, the old video toaster CG files are long lost, so if this is a true remaster they would've had to recreate the effects from scratch like they did with Star Trek TOS.

JMS hasn't delivered on any of his B5 bullshit since like 1998.

Remaster with new 3D effects does seem like a 2+ year project, and it would be nice. But since it's JMS there's a solid chance it will be the ULTIMATE ILLUSTRATED SCRIPTBOOKS COLLECTION in PDF format or some bullshit.

Warner didn't want to redo the special effects for the widescreen DVD release so I doubt they'll redo it for the Blu-ray one.

A Babylon 5 animated movie could be interesting. Hopefully the animation is quality, but it's WB so who knows.
