Huh. Looking at it again, the Red Hot Chilli Pepper stuff and the rats are only really a third of the way through. For some reason I thought that stuff was dragged out a lot later. You win this round!

Yea Jotaro might be the bland generic badass dood , but he is also the most badass one . Simply the best , come at me bro . Gogo DavidProduction !
 
Jotaro only spoke in the ASB ad, but the episode should've totally ended with him saying "yare yare daze" although my excitement over everything else nullifies my disappointment of that not happening.

The 1993 OVAs started quite late in the story for some reason, it's the 2000 OVAs that start from the beginning.

The OVA's leave out a crap ton of stuff from the manga. And change some stuff as well.

At this point I would only watch them as a curiosity, or just watch the best scenes.
Then wait for the hopefully inevitable 2nd season of the anime.

It seems like the release I got has them in chronological order anyway. I just wonder if the jump from 2000 to 1993 is going to be weird in terms of art shift or something along those lines.

There's only so much David Production one can take at a time. I'll be watching them in the interim for the next season anyway so that my weekly Jojo fix doesn't get interrupted.
 
I wonder how long it will take for this to get reverted. Looks like it was just added an hour ago.

The only and best thing to watch from the OVA is the D'arby encounter, most epic moment in the series, and the animated ver. may as well top the way the manga presented it.

Just as a warning, it is going to be weird because of the different teams involved.

You think they'll add a villain for each Part in the video games? Kinda weird only 2, 3 and 4 got them.

Err .. no , don't watch the OVA please the art was so bad it stains the manga and Jojo in general IMO . If you really want , read the manga .

BTW what is the different between this thread and the one in Off topic .

The 90's OVA have really good art and godly animation bro.
 
The OVA has problems (mainly the lack of fabulousness) but animation isn't one of them. I guess the characters look kinda bulky but the manga's characters kinda look like that too.

How can you call this bad? Especially after the motion comic that was Part 1/2.
 
The Part 1 and 2 anime had the fabulousness that the Part 3 OVAs lacked though. Along with an awesome soundtrack...I don't think I can remember any of the music from the 90s OVA lol.
 
Oh I loved the Part 1 & 2 anime for all of the reasons you listed, but actually animating the anime was something the new series didn't do.

The music also screw up the atmosphere, despite I think they hire foreign studio that produce for hollywood or something.
 
The animation looks alright but it is bad because the art had little reminiscent of Araki's art which gave Jojo series a distinct look and personality.

I mean this Jotaro , srsly ? And Jotaro doesn't smirk like that in the manga .

2000's OVA does have bad chara design lol (although the stand animation still glorious), the one that got high praise are the 90's OVA.
 
Oh my ! I'm sorry I didn't realized that there was a 1990 OVA . Look up on it in Youtube and yeah it was decent . I'm so offensive on the OVA before this because I only had 2000 OVA in my knowledge that time .

Yeah OVA Jotaro is kind of off model compared to the manga version, he doesn't really look like he does at any point in the manga. Polnareff too.
 
Why is Jotaro such an asshole? Jolyne didn't deserve to have such a shitty father like Jotaro.

Speaking of which, did everyone like Jolyne? I sure do, she reminds me of Joseph, a bit a very nice Joseph.
 
Well, to be fair, he's an asshole, but he's a loving asshole. It's not like he didn't have good reasons to stay out of Jolyne's life.

Related funfact in case you didn't realize: That major fever that made Jolyne hate his father for deciding to stay somewhere else rather than fly back to her? That was very likely in part 4.
