Yeah, I realize that, but the original Part 3 anime OVAs managed to translate certain scenes in a superior way to the David Pro anime without feeling like they were just animating manga panels.

That's kinda the point of David Pro's version. Being a 1:1 or near 1:1 translation from a long, prolific manga that only had that adaptation that covered just 1 part. The original OVA cut and changed a bunch of stuff for their own pacing alongside their stylistic differences.

Plus, I'm sure the whole Phantom Blood movie and David Pro not wanting a replica of that had something to do with that too.

Update: Cast revealed.

Josuke Yuki Ono
Koichi Yuki Kaji
Okuyasu Wataru Takagi
Rohan Takahiro Sakurai

I wonder if they're going to add some plot aspects in order to polish the story up?

Maybe have Joseph Joestar send Josuke's gang towards the antagonists of the second half, via purple hermit photos for good old times, in order to investigate, instead "tis fate"

For some reason I've had my mind set on the ending theme to be some sort of 90's alt rock song, like from Chumbawumba, Sugar Ray, or Len.

The one that i feel like would really fit is How Bizarre by OMC.

Its more about what araki was inspired by during the time of the manga than what fits with the show.
So its really hard to guess the ED,it could even be an original japanese song this time.

I like that they changed the art style in line with when Araki started to make more slender characters instead of total muscleheads.

i hope they keep the detail on this new series like the old ones.

Also will there ever be US Blurays of this series??

So I've been watching JoJo on Crunchyroll

Finished part 2, going to part 3

Question-

They raise a coffin at the end of part 2 that presumably has Dio. But isn't this the coffin that Erina escaped in with the baby?

Where was the 2nd coffin lying at @_@

Jotaro has a snazzy new getup. I believe Part 3 took place in 1987, and the PV says that Part 4 is in 1999, so Jotaro should be in his mid-20s. Doesn't look too different, though. Puberty must have hit early.

Jonathan, Joseph and Jotaro already looked like grown ass men when they were in their teens so it's not too surprising Jotaro didn't change much after that haha.

This is what it takes for you to realize? Not his 6'4 extremely muscular body?

Ha, I guess I meant that he wouldn't have even further developments as he aged.

But sure, that Joestar blood. In that sense, Josuke—physically—looks like the youngest protagonist so far.
That's because Araki was copying the Fist of the North Star artstyle in part 1 and 2, but started developing his own style by the end of part 3 and completed mid-4, where Jojo turns from muscular gay to fabulous gay.

The anime skips directly to the new artstyle, because c'mon, they can't pull that kind of art change off.
