[Not true] Joycon 2 has same internal quality and build as Joycon 1.

Add this to the OP then, debunking this "news" 😂

Not the same design… debunked.

I find it hard to believe that Nintendo would lack the brain power to put themselves in a position where they spend a fuck ton of money having to repair/replace Joycons after what happened with the Switch. I'd assume that they would make enough changes to the controller to help prevent drift as much as possible. Time will tell I guess.

Ready to drift?

Unfortunately it seems the Joycon 2 has the same quality level and internals as the Joycon 1.

Please, discuss.
I don't think any of the big three use (or have ever used?) hall effect or TMR in the controllers that come with the consoles.
And so saying it uses the same tech (ie no magnets) and so therefore will have drift, doesn't make sense, as there are plenty of other controllers that don't have drift.
I'm not saying the Switch 2 will be drift free, but this isn't really proof of anything.

PS3 controllers used Hall Effect sticks.

Why do this when they know that 90% of their fans ll just buy a new U$90 joycon to replace the bad one ?

read his off topic posts and you can see he's had to deal with brain damage from alcohol
:messenger_tears_of_joy:
Not only can you infer head trauma by reading posts, you can also infer the type ?
Dr House would love your diagnostic abilities.

Anyway Bowser is what he is and neogaf accepts it because it is actually a welcoming community (as long as you are not a total and utter moron), and not because of some performative reason like "we let him shit in the middle of the living room because he is disabled" like the purple wankers would.
Also Shaki12345 Shaki12345 you are allowed to mock anyone endlessly if you don't like their schtick which is great.. Its better than playing no fun francine asking people to stop having fun.
Case in point :
Joyconn best tham dualse se PS5 garbage, joyconn no drifit good goooord drum ahahahah

Some people thinks that Hall effect joystick is a new thing… The Dreamcast controllers have this and suffered others issues.

I had my original blue joycon drifting so I bought another one and never had any more problem. I always assumed they somehow fixed the problem after some revisions. Is it just me who got lucky? If not, maybe they don't need to change how they do them for the 2...

Bowser made a thread about his condition, is well known here.

PS3 controllers used Hall Effect sticks.
I haven't been able to find any confirmation that they did (only that they are using some kind of magnets) and this post on reddit suggests it wasn't hall effect, but I am not an expert. I wouldn't be surprised though, it was the PS3 after all.

I know dude i even posted in it.

What made me laugh is the other dude making it seems that you could understand bowser had alcohol related brain trauma by reading their posts. I mean you could understand he has brain trauma, but pulling the cause out of his post is the kind of magical diagnosis only dr House can achieve.

Goddam is everyone so tense because of switch release you can't joke without being taken very seriously by at least one or two gaffers ?

So when you don't send unit review in advance for reputable vehicles, the first information to spread is either misleading or unchecked? Who could have thought...

Even if the only thing they had done was add lube, it's too early to tell. On N64 that one change would have saved the entire joystick.

But that wasn't the only thing they did so I mean...double wait?

All consoles should have controllers with HAL.

All official controllers are too expensive for what they offer.

I bought 6 joy cons for switch then gave up and bought cheap controllers. This is a cash cow for nintendo, why would they fix it as there are no consequences.

Jokes aside. HAL effect joysticks are not free from having issues and it's NOT a new tech as some people think… The big issue for the Switch 2 joycons was going to have using this kind of tech (HAL effect joysticks) are the micro magnets that this tech uses, they are too sensitive to magnetic fields and guess what the Switch 2 have really close to the Joysticks… Two big and strong magnets. Like Evilore said, give time to see if the new design solved the Drift issue and please stop spreading false information, also NO controller including the HAL effect ones are free from drift.

Thanks for the correction to the OP. So sad.

How far will people go to lie on Nintendo and try to sabotage them? Good thing it won't work.

They covered the launch on the Today show yesterday.

Lol a random source 🤣 Switch 2 haters working full time today… Is going to be ok guys.

Oh goodness, the Xbot shills have been replaced by a handful of Nintendo chodes on here.

Nintendo can do no wrong. Stick drift was a figment of your imaginations on those tiny ass baby hands controls.

I mean, if you're a pro, you use the Pro Controller anyway. It's in the name.
You mean the "pro" controller with no Hall Effect sticks that will start drifting anyway? The situation is bad for the "main three" and you need a third party controller in all cases for some peace of mind which is a terrible look.

No, but i did read his own words about Alcohol Related Brain Damage that he's suffering from

He said that you could understand it by reading his offtopic post, his post about him dealing with it?
People are only on edge cause you are trying to be edgy and funny while forgetting how to read, but hey atleast you arent uncool like those purple lamers amirite bros?

maan wtf edit ur post, took line an half hour to scroll thro that :D

My original Joycons and all my PS5 controllers only got drift when my kids played them for a long time. My Switch OLED Joycons, both my Switch Pro Controllers, and dad's PS5 controller that no one else gets to touch now are all fine after years and hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Main solution to drift is to stop treating your shit like a child would.

Bro. I just posted some Reddit threads. I'm no technical expert.

They should've been HAL regardless. These things and the "Pro" Controller are 90$.

You know what OP, your take sucks, your reposting sucks, i literally had a thread reporting that the Joy-Con 2's felt improved (It was a literal AMA) which you ignored and yet on release day you come out and post the dankest of threads for quick clout.

This is willingly ignoring things at best and just downright misinforming people at worst.

I am using the Switch 2 as we speak and you're right mate.

The JC definitely feel improved. But, I just posted these Reddit threads before I got the console.

And by the way, a 90$ controller should have HAL. That includes the JC AND the Pro Controller.

90 (!!!!) $
