I liked Death of WCW but I'm not sure it needs an extra 200 pages to say how mismanaged they were. I eagerly await the Death of TNA book but who knows when that'll be.

They rushed through the early days and the Invasion chapter was also quite light on content. The book was very short to begin with and I'm eager to read what else they put into this.

I've only read the Bret book and Jericho's first book. Working on Jericho's second right now.

Jericho's second book was quite a disappointment compared to the first. You expect a lot of great WWE stories yet he glosses over so much. Definitely get the impression he's playing it damn safe and trying to not burn any bridges. Plus he basically pushes how he and Triple H are cool with each other at the end and I never once got that impression.

There's plenty more to say, especially concerning what has happened since 2004.
The original book had length limitations imposed on it by the publisher, so I'm sure there's a lot of new info to be reported.

I only care about the Daniel Bryan book that details his indy life and I dunno if WWE would ever want him talking about dudes that could sue them. I know he'll NEVER say anything remotely disparaging about WWE or those in the company.

If I was Daniel Bryan, why I would be disparaging about the company where I met my beautiful wife, made more money in a year than probably five years of indy dates, and became more famous and successful than I could've ever dreamed, and probably got the medical care I've needed for years paid for? Because a few smart marks on the Internet think I should've won more?

Also, he talked plenty about how shitty the booking was in the fall last year on Jericho's podcast.

Listen, I've been dealing with "smart marks" like you for over 20 years now.

You misunderstood his post. He's saying he doesn't want Daniel Bryan to release a book until he's fired from WWE for the last time and/or his early retirement. In either case he won't need to wait long.

He could have done something in Japan, probably. Maybe. Do some worked fights for early PRIDE maybe. He did do some shoot style stuff before WCW.

Jerry Flynn was also infamous backstage as a ladies' man. While his feud with Tank Abbott served in Tank's favor on screen, backstage was a different story. In their first backstage altercation (which ultimately led to Vince Russo's wanting to pursue the on-screen feud) Tank attempted to pummel Jerry, to which he said "Thank you sir, may I have another." On screen however Tank was seen as more marketable and was pushed as such.

Hey a thread in the OT got me thinking....

Can you think of any times a wrestler has appeared on camera / wrestled when they where clearly drunk / high as hell?

Not counting Jeff Hardy of course.

Every Roddy Piper appearance from 1984-1987. Every Randy Savage appearance from 1985-death.

Numerous times for Scott Hall during the Nitro era. Also, most of the WWF and NWA roster were coked out of their gills during any promo. Oh, and any Von Erich appearance during the 80's.

According to Bret, Davey Boy was drugged out of his mind at their famous Summerslam mach, and Bret basically had to carry the entire match.

Jesus Christ.

I want a book of honesty. I want wrestling books where people are honest about their experiences. If they were shitty, if people fucked them over, these are the things I want to know about in a book about a wrestlers career. I am simply especially interested in hearing uncensored stories of his indie career. I wanna know if promoters screwed him on pay or whatever, or if there are people he wouldn't deal with again or work with.

Unfortunately, I don't think WWE would publish a book like that, and I think Bryan is too much of a "aw shucks" guy to complain or make remarks about any of that stuff.

I want the Bryan book to talk about JBL maybe raping guys in the shower, Vince McMahon having forced consensual sex with talent on his bear skin rug, being paid in hot dogs in IWA MS, how terrible he's treated as an indie star, how great his wife is, how much he really enjoys organic tree bark sandwich smoothies, and how much he just loves performing for the WWE Universe.

In all likelihood he's coming back, yeah. People are just dooming and glooming since that's easy. A shoulder surgery is better than another neck one.

I was gonna say, it more than likely will be an Austin like thing. Leaves for a year and then comes back.

That's... weird. Usually wrestlers who write their own autobiographies write them themselves with the help of a ghostwriter (sometimes).

Interesting.

It's a joke.

Brie writes all of Bryan's tweet and does all his social media, outside of when he starts tweeting about how they're killing the environment and how we need to fight companies like Monsanto. The difference is obvious, but Bryan has talked about how much he hates social media, the internet, and technology in general.

I don't know what you're talking about.

Bryan died in surgery. It's over. Let us all start banking on Dolph Ziggler.
Shit. We're fucked then.

I am. He really had a hard time at the start of his WWE career and says that he cringes when he watches his first promo with The Rock now. He also did not get along with Chyna.

If I recall correctly it was because he was trying to push the heel crybaby character he created in WCW into the WWE and it didn't work so well. Made him look like, well, a crybaby. I can't believe how much bad luck he had at the beginning of his career. Damn Jericho Curse.

Also, It was nice gesture to publish Ryder's forward without him knowing. He must of marked out when he read the book for the first time.

Welp. I fell for it. I am aware of Brie's involvement with his Twitter stuff tho.

He sounds like Ambrose when it comes to all the social media stuff.
