The Bellas leaving WWE was the best thing to happen to us, the Internet folk.

As for Raw:

From the 30 minutes or so I saw of the show, it was squash matches and an AJ segment that made more sense on MADtv or SNL. Who taught her how to cut a promo, Orton?

To be fair, you try to deliver "Your eyes send love straight into my heart" naturally.

I just thought it was all corny. Maybe it was just a bad script, or what, although the execution of the way it was all told came off really cheesy. Plus the non stop pausing.

Might be AJ, but the whole thing seemed purposely drawn out to me. I reckon she was instructed to pause and build suspense.

I mean, it took her like 5 minutes to drop to her knee.

I have to give it to you guys, I know I was playing devil's advocate last week, but seriously if WWE Creative can only think of this storyline when dealing with the Best in the World, the Actual Best in the World and an actual diva with a fun gimmick you're just dropping the ball (again).

They should really turn AJ heel on Sunday and put her and Bryan as a power couple. Seems to me they could be great comedy together. Punk's current character (which consists of making faces and calling people names... Hello, C...ena) is not interesting to anyone, Bryan's huge overreactions last night were great though.

Punk and AJ together do nothing for me now, so that should definatly not be the way to go. Bryan and AJ or none of the above are the only options they have.

However, the sheeple just love the new Punk and clearly want him and AJ to hook up, because I guess they like characters that have no dept or interesting characteristics at all. Maybe WWE Creative has a better handle on their audience then I do. Guess I'm just 20 years to old for this shit.

Thank God for Impact. Well, at least the first 20 minutes of Bryan and Punk should be fun to watch and I am looking forward to getting some resolve to the storyline (and hopefully Bryan as champ)

I'm almost leaning towards the Soulplaya POV. Kane should win MitB and AJ should bring him out at the end of the show to cash in and win the belt from Bryan.

Then we can have Bryan vs Kane and we can fast-forward through all the Cena/Punk stuff.

Remember when Bryan and Punk wrestled the house down at Over The Limit?

That was awesome, the end was shit but I had hope still.

Sigh.

Yes AJ was always meant to play a role eventually but I haven't liked the way they went at all. Less said about the f**king random Kane insertion shit the better.

Bryan, Punk and AJ are my favorite people in all the WWE, all in the same feud at once I should be smiling ear-to-ear - but in reality I stopped enjoying it/being hopeful still for a satisfying outcome awhile ago. :(

Paddy Power have changed WWE bets to singles only...

I like to think I am the reason for that!

I'm not even following these feuds anymore. No idea who will win tbh.

If I was going to bet, I'd put money on Punk, Cena and Sheamus.

not sure if serious but why would Punk and Cena feud if the title isn't involved?

You mean the only part of this Crazy AJ storyline that was actually any good? and now he and Jericho are like afterthoughts in the grippingly exciting saga of Cena beats the unstoppable Big Show for the hundredth time, this time with ladders!

Can't believe they didn't bring any more people into the match, I was sure WWE wouldn't leave it with just those 4.

Because last week Punk went "follow my lead Cena, in this match" and Cena was all like "lol, yeah, sure newbie!" and then they lost the match because it never ended.

In reality, Cena vs Punk needs to happen at Summerslam because else Cena will be overshadowed by HHH vs Lesnar.

They can make it a #1 Contenders match as they're advertising Cena going for the gold for Night of Champions. Punk's rematch clause can be cashed in and lost against Kane at Night of Champions.

But you're right, this is WWE, so Punk will win, Cena wins briefcase, match happens at SummerSlam.

I think I will bet on Cena and Dolph (when they put that one up), and leave everything else. I think those odds for Cena are going to drop a lot nearer the PPV too.

Unless I am am mistaken, I cannot see Cena losing as the whole reason the RAW MitB is borked this year is because he is supposed to win it

BUT SWERVE!

D-Bry should have won at Over The Limit, or in the next match so Punk could chase it back (which is so much more interesting than just winning all the time). Along the way AJ turns on Punk and her and Bryan make evil music together.

Its pretty easy to do.

Instead here I am hoping that D-Bry at least wins this PPV in the off-chance he gets to keep the belt for a week before he's fed to Cena/Rock. :| Thats how little I have to go on.

In reality Punk will win and then get fed to Cena/Rock while Bryan probably goes back to doing nothing.

Now that I think about it maybe they will put AJ with Bryan just without the title, so it gives him something at least. They can feud with the rugby player and Aksana. Or be in 2 on 1 squash matches against The Ryback.

PS: Cena and Dolph are winning the cases this year. Dolph gets shit on by Sheamus constantly that will be his way of FINALLY beating him..... the 'cheating' way (or they'll probably still make lolSheamus win and zomg first ever person to defend it he so wonderful lets go Sheamus chants etc).

BUT SWERVE!
There's numerous paths for a swerve here but since this is WWE it must lead back to a victorious Cena.
Big Show wins and Cena has to STOP Big Show from cashing it in for the good of the WWE universe, after successfully thwarting every Big Show cash in attempt Show challenges Cena to a match where if Cena loses then he's fired (we've NEVER seen Cena is this predicament!), If Cena wins he gets the MITB case for himself, spoilers: cenawins.

Oh god, this is going to happen, I can almost taste the bitterness from the future.

I'm not that worried about Dolph really, whenever he gets his ball he'll run with it. Just like Bryan did. When a guy is that good, not even the worst build can ruin them.

I mean, when they let him rip Sheamus like he ripped the guys on WWE Download the crowd will get behind him in no time. Once again, just like Bryan.

It'll then take WWE at least 2 or 3 months to adjust and find a creative way to bury him.

I'll admit, I would actually like to see a story between someone and a Mr. Money in the Bank where they actively went out of their way to thwart each of that guys attempt to cash in haha.

When you think about it, how easy would be be to let him cash in then run in and cause a DQ oh no title for you lol.

Has there ever been a MitB loser who had like a group or sidekick who could have protected him like that? I'm sure if they did it too much Teddy f**king Long would eventually come out and say HOL ON A MINUTE PLAYA...... and do some totally unfair but its ok cause its for the good guy crap. *rolleyes*

The Sonic cycle is in full effect here.

Absolutely craptastic RAW leaves bad taste in everyone's mouths.

Instead of talking about superior wrestling programming alternatives from other companies everyone continues to talk about WWE and fantasy books a way to salvage assorted angles as if Vince gives a damn about putting out a compelling product.

Smackdown then airs with one decent match and NXT with a bunch of hungry prospects and solid JR play-by-play to make everyone forget about what a disaster RAW was.

Everyone shows up on Sunday night excited to have the WWE take another proverbial dump on their heads.

Hopefully you all at least have the good sense not to pay them money for said treatment while rationalizing ("Oh the Money in the Bank PPVs always deliver! Dolph is finally going to break through that glass ceiling. CM Punk vs. D.Brine will be another match of the year candidate, Bryan will finally win the title and reunite with AJ, they will have been conspiring together this entire time!")

Yeah... good luck with that.

I can't believe I did it, but after Raw last night I decided to look into if Hornswoggle made sense as being the anonymous GM all along. Believe it or not...he kinda does.

1. In storyline, Hornswoggle was thought to be Vince's son for a time. This means they inevitably got to know each other, and perhaps even may have liked each other a bit by the end enough for Vince to believe he could run Raw. After all, after the last few GMs, such as Bret Hart, Vickie Guerrero, and a cavalcade of celebrities, he couldn't do any worse. Also, I couldn't find any time that Hornswoggle was in the ring when the RAW GM came calling.

2. Hornswoggle choosing to remain anonymous makes sense...being a little person, he knew nobody would take him seriously if he was GM. Also, at the time he couldn't talk, so the only way he could communicate is via email.

3. The part of him not being able to talk at the time does lead to plothole however, as when the GM was announced on RAW, there's a scene of Vince talking to him on the phone. This can be explained away, however, as Vince learning to understand Hornswoggle's grunts during the time they spent when he thought he was his son.

Of course, this does also reveal some interesting facts about Hornswoggle. For one, he for some reason never really liked Bret Hart.

He's Vince's son, of course he hates Bret Hart.

Still, fucking Hornswoggle... Ugh.

What I don't understand is how the fuck he sees things from under the ring? How did he know Booker "interfered" in the match? Is he peeking at the titantron from one of the apron curtains?

He just hacked into the live feed and watches from his laptop, clearly.

Crap,
I hate when my WWE storylines make sense damnit. I want to hate this whole Hornswoggle reveal ffs!

Doesn't he "live under the ring"? I'm pretty sure he has a TV and everything down there and his "house". That magically moves around every week like the GM's office, APA Office, etc.

I just assume it was an upset in the Karmic Balance.

TNA was so awesome on Sunday, it literally threw shit out of whack, causing WWE to become utter crap the very next day. Oh how the balance of power has shifted...

From wrestling in Japan to being saddled with an uncontrollable fart gimmick on live television. A long way indeed.

They had to tape 5 hours of show last night, as far as I can gather they just padded Raw with as short as possible matches and long drawn out other segments to make sure nobody fell asleep halfway through their Smackdown match.

Or something along those lines.

And of course ratings are up this week, Cena's match went like 15 minutes or something?

Mweh, their show has been alot better, but to say TNA invests much time in wrestling? Still not so much.

Even most of their main event PPV matches are shorter then WWE's.

Have you ever noticed WWE only calls what they do wrestling in a sarcastic way?

You have guys saying "I'm a pro wrestler" in such a manner that I expect a wink at the camera, and last night Michael Cole appealing to wrestling fans and King making the comment that his pleas fell on deaf ears. At this point I think WWE is no longer even sports entertainment, they're entertainment that happens to be based on wrestling.

The "wrestling" part of WWE is only there so adolescents and young children can justify watching ridiculous, third-rate soap opera drama with the argument that it's totally cool because "look, people fight each other!".

If WWE could somehow get away with not having any wrestling at all in their product, they'd do it.

Hey, not to worry, at least AJ makes a solid point:

Okay, the match still ended with a suprise roll-up and they had to include a couple of guys as well, but they did get to do more then two moves this time.

So lets call it a win.
