Wouldn't it be awesome if when D.Brine wins the WWE Championship he hires a couple of guards who where black suits who he refers to as the 'YES! Men'

What I hate most about the Impact Zone? The pops these fools give to Hogan.

It's like they never got the memo that Hogan isn't interesting, entertaining or remotely relevant anymore. So fucking weird.

CM Punk comes off as a guy who's been champ for so long as a fluke due to Cena being distracted with authority figures and the entire heel side of the roster being booked like jokes and plagued with injuries.

His matches (some of which have been technically impressive) have never closed a show and one has the distinct impression that if he had a straight one-on-one match for the title against Cena, Orton, Undertaker, Triple H, The Big Show or even Sheamus that he would lose. He's lost semi-clean to Tensai and didn't even log a decisive win against Mark Henry. In short, he comes off as a guy who talks a big game without the credibility to back it up. Almost like most heels.

It's a title reign notable for its length but doesn't seem like it will be one that elevates Phil Brooks in the history books any more than his first four title reigns did.

Yup yup. Punk, while higher up on the card now, still doesn't have the feel of "THE GUY" in the company. For me to say that while he's in a near 8 month reign as WWE Champ is mind boggling. He isn't believably "big time" and that has nothing to do with him personally, but the structure of the show, Cena still clearly being the top of the food chain, this AJ angle fit more for a midcard feud, wrestling too much on weekly shows (yes that CAN be an issue when it comes to champs), etc. etc. Like you say, he still seems like a guy who would get handled if he fought Cena, Orton, Taker, HHH, Show, etc. straight up.

Hell, look at the Battle Royal on the past Smackdown. Bryan and Punk go flying out after some weak cross body while Cena is in for 5 more minutes and has a semi ring clearing moment against 3 heels and it takes Big Show to toss him out FROM BEHIND. Things like that stick around in your subconscious. Punk should be having that moment as well. I understand he's in a feud with Bryan, but these are the little things that give champions extra credibility.

The world effectively stops when Silva and Sonnen square off in the octagon this Saturday.

Damn right. There's gonna be so much anticipation during the Buffer intros that my head will probably explode before they even start the fight.

He must be away on some kinda Taz Mission.

I respectfully disagree, there's only one AJ and she is the best AJ.

Still waiting for the Takeroonie!

A long time ago...
When cameras stopped rolling, the real fun started. Taker told Booker T that the people came here to see the Spinaroonie. After Booker did it, he told Taker that these people came here to see the Takeroonie! Undertaker told him it's gimmick infringement and he didn't want to butcher Booker's move. The Rock went back to the ring and told Taker to do the Takeroonie. Undertaker didn't want to do it and then HHH came out and wanted Taker to do the move! The Un-Americans came out as well and said they're out here to see UT embarrass himself doing the Takeroonie. Despite everyone telling him to do it, Taker said no....and 'No Chance In Hell' hit the speakers and the man himself came out. Vince McMahon told Taker that he has the grapefruits to do it! Booker showed Vince how to do the Vincaroonie and McMahon follows with a poorly done spinaroonie. Triple H got on the mic and told Vince that he's officially the whitest person on the face of the planet! Goldust then told Taker what do to, but Vince cuts him off and told UT that the people saw the Vincaroonie, the Fagaroonie and now it's time to see the Takeroonie. Undertaker just stood back and chuckled. HHH then told UT that he has the balls to do it, and Triple H performs a Tripleroonie only to be welcomed by a Taker chokeslam. The Un-Americans hit the ring but Taker chases them up the ramp with his bike to a loud chorus of boos from the crowd. Triple H then said that we still didn't see a Rockaroonie and Rock asks the crowd if they want to see it. The Rock did the Rockaroonie and Triple H tried to jump The Rock but Rocky gets him in the Rock Bottom and also delivered the People's Elbow. As Rock, Booker and Goldust leave, Triple H gets back on the mic and told him - while laughing - that he hated him! A good 30 minute showdown with a huge rib on the Undertaker by everyone in the ring.

Dragon Gate USA updates;

. The Super Smash Bros. will make their DGUSA debuts live worldwide via iPPV on July 28th & 29th
. Two big matches signed for the returning former DGUSA champ - on July 28th it will be YAMATO vs Ricochet and on July 29th YAMATO vs Jon Davis

Really looking forward to seeing YAMATO again, and him vs Ricochet should be awesome.

I'd probably be more into those Indy scenes if they ever came to Texas....
I suppose I could watch online... Only so much time I guess.

None of the bigger indies run Texas very often, it seems - you do get ACW though, which isn't too bad;

Yeah, it's worth it though if you're after a greater a focus on wrestling than what is on TV, and it's never been easier what with companies like Dragon Gate USA offering all their shows as live iPPVs and video on demand; http://wwnlive.com/

So do you think WWE are going to bring back the Big Show's special reinforced ladder for MITB this year? i'll be insulted if WWE ignore the events of 2010 where Big Show was too heavy to climb a normal ladder without breaking it, it'll mess up my MITB continuity.
On this note that was a fun ladder match, just rewatched it, Striker's commentary is great, screw the haters, he calls Kane "Big Red Justice".

Kenny King on Impact last night was awesome. Good for him.

Normally I hate when WWE drops angles due to ratings, but I'm glad the Johnny Ace story is over with. In retrospect it was terrible. Anonymous GM terrible.

John Laurenitis was entertaining but most of the time they had him doing stupid crap so it was no fun.

I love how Big Show goes from trying to overcome the Cody Rhodes odds to being a unstoppable monster.

Five thousand years from now people will still be talking about the things that Bray Wyatt did.
Five thousand years from now, children will still be learning about me in school.
Five thousand years from now everything will be the same.
They’ll be arguing about me, man.
They’ll be arguing about:
“Did Bray Wyatt ever truly exist at all?”
Am I just a fairy tale?
But I assure you man:
I am very, very real.
But you people still want to be afraid of me, and you should be man.
We all need something to be afraid of after all.
Well mother, tell your children not to walk my way.
Tell your children not to hear my words;
what they mean, what they say.
Class, may I ask you a question or two please?
Is there anyone out there in this rotten world willing to get their hands dirty for you the way that I will?
Nah man, there ain’t.
Is there anyone out there is this world that will love you and accept you for who you are no matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done the way that I will?
Nah, man.
But still, you want to be afraid of me but you shouldn’t.
Because I am an angel in the dirt.
And if you want to find hell with me, then I will show you what hell is like.

He will not be forgotten, he lives in our hearts, because he's powerful.

I thought Johnny was great as a character, but I didn't like the storyline itself - they should have never outright made Johnny try and go after Cena, or be directly involved in any feud at all, but rather remain as the dick GM who occasionally makes life irritating for faces and heels alike. People power!

To bad a heel Triple H wont happen any time soon :-/

if anything last year when the stuff with Punk happened that was the perfect time to Heel him up!!

Mr. H's seems to have to make himself the face of any feud he sticks his big nose into, whereas, personally, I've only ever cared to see HHH when he was a heel.
