Yeah poor Barrett man. Breaking his arm and now this from freak accidents.

That's not a freak accident. That's Swagger throwing him recklessly into the barricade (twice) so that he has no way to protect his shoulder from the impact.

It's a very simple spot executed in the most unsafe manner.... twice. Barrett was lucky that only the second spot injured him, because swagger very easily could have separated his shoulder with the first throw, then ended his career immediately with the second. I wouldn't be surprised if Barrett has shoulder issues the rest of his career and life thanks to Swagger.

Everyone knew that Swagger fucked up, too. The fans and Zeb were looking at him like "WTF?" And the ref and Dean had looks of contempt on their faces (thank you for the stiff ladder shot, Dean).

Fuck him. That's two wrestlers with huge pushes that he's injured now. And they haven't been freak accidents, just really, really bad work.

Nah, I didn't enjoy that match at all. I don't think Cena and Orton have that much chemistry no matter how many times they face off.

I think a lot is to do with his character as well, but his matches where he tries to be slow and methodical come off as dull to me. His best run was his Smackdown face run where he feuded with Christian because he showed so much more energy.

His best work is when he's a full-blown heel. Orton during Legacy was Orton Prime. Then his methodical and calculated ring behavior makes the most sense and is played the best. Loved that Orton.

Did Jimmy Havoc get good or are you all just trying to trick me?

Because I remember when he wrestled on the England/Germany tour I filmed and, well

His character did and it complements his in-ring work now. It's good.

I loved the character, but still skipped his singles matches. Personally not a fan of that in-ring style at all unless it's backed up with a lot of technical shit. All I can remember about his style back then was the endless rest holds.

I hadn't seen much of Havoc previously, but he's definitely improved in the time since he's been in Progress. Also, his character work since turning heel has been awesome and a major highlight.

This is awesome and you should all watch it. I mean...IT'S FREE;

07. PROGRESS Championship Ladder Match: Jimmy Havoc (c) vs 'White Lightning' Mark Andrews

Suck it OKC Man, the only reason your Thunder games are always sold out is because you guys don't have anything else to do down there!

I love the Thunder :(

It's going to be rough when Durant leaves after next season because the GM won't draft or sign anyone who can help Durant or Westbrook win.

Hey Bootaay, I don't have 2.5 hours to watch a full show, but what 1-2 matches other than the Devitt/Sabre Jr. match should I check out from the PROGRESS show?

I'm in London this weekend so decided to look up to see if they had a show or anything going on, but they've fucked off to Sonisphere. Progress is dead to me.
Can't wait to watch when I get home

I was going to add that it seems pretty hard to fuck up a throw into those padded barriers. Freak accident as in why would he be injured from something as simple as that. Swags was careless I agree.

I can't help but feel that almost any time Orton gets silence or indifference, it's due to the booking. I watched Cena/Orton from...Royal Rumble 14 I think? With the sound muted - and it's a sound, solid match. People just didn't want it.
His feud with Bryan over the final four months of 2013 was putrid, despite fairly decent matches. Never was there to be put over, despite being the top heel on the show. Just think if Mr. McMahon just laughed and pushed The Rock around like a joke during his Corporate Champion days.

Then again, orton also spent 2006-2010 in the tag division (with Edge in Rated RKO) and faction leading (with Legacy), while Cena's always been lingering around the title or main event feud.
He spent 2007-2009 feuding with Cena, Triple H, or both. Then spent 2010 being champ on and off again while Cena fended away Nexus.

Orton deserves a shitload of credit after last night. He's consistently great, gets booked poorly, but manages to be excellent. One of WWE's best talents, easily.

Agreed. I have a real soft spot for Orton. He can't carry a feud but I'm okay with a (guy I like) vs Orton feud. There'll be something good there.

Oh well..... I still do not believe that he is getting a major push when he is back.

He will get the push. He got like the best reaction on the pay per view and wasn't even wrestling. In the WWE mind is a top face but not Cena level face. They are creating Reigns to for that spot.

My favorite orton run is probably his time with the authority. It seems like he's true to himself compared to the typical legend killer/apex gimmicks he was trying to pull off. It's like he doesn't have much to prove but continues to push the bar unlike a certain fellow that believes in three things.

Yes I'm still feeling the salt from last night's finish.

I watched MITB at Sam's Town (old casino here) with a packed house. I found out Cena's fanbase is not just little kids. Old ass marks love him as well. CeNation is just an army of marks, young and old. They love that man.

There was a fat motherfucker in a wheelchair who I'm pretty sure is not handicap, he's just a lazy fat fuck mark. The second Cena won, that fat motherfucker jumps out of his wheelchair with the quickness and puts the Cena hand signs in the air and starts clapping. He was wearing a Cena shirt from 2005.

Oh he was handicapped. The force of John Cena's win created a pulse of energy in his nervous system that awakened neurons thought to be long dead, in effect, curing his disability instantly. That's the power of John Cena.

Friends, I'm pretty excited to seeing how Fale does in the G1. He's in the best block, he's got a belt and he's freaking huge, so it'll be interesting to see how he's booked
and to see the epic bitching when he beats Shibata
.

Y'all realize the only thing keeping Cena from taking over America is that he doesn't talk about loving Jesus.

Do you have ANY IDEA how hard people would latch on to him if he professed his love for Christ? You think people love him now...

Me too. There'll be a lot of very fucking fun matches for Fale. He gets Tanahashi, Shibata...Ibushi should be fun as FUCK and have some clever spots. Nagata, Ishii, Nak....the list goes on. It'll be a fun challenge to see if he can remain looking great but I am super interested to see how they book all of these matches.

He's mostly right. I spent time catching up with WWE from about 2005 onwards recently, and Orton was mostly a jobber to the stars between 2005-2007. I think he spent a grand total of one-two months in the main event in that period until August 2007 when he fought Cena and it felt like a huge mis-match. In that time, you had Cena and Batista with their huge pushes and others like Edge and Rey Mysterio getting runs. Cena was a massive star and Orton seemed like a mid-carder in comparison. There is a huge disparity in terms of starpower back between 2005-2007 from Cena, Batista, Triple H, Undertaker, Shawn and then Orton. The first five feel like the top stars of the time and Orton felt like he was just there. Even Edge felt a lot more important than Randy.

Orton really kicks off with Legacy in late 2008. That's when he really becomes over and feels like a legitimate main event star. The fued with Triple H going into Wrestlemania 25 was great too in terms of establishing him, although the match ruined it. Then from 2011 onward, he's mostly irrelevant again. But then, I'd argue everyone from that period onwards has been irrelevant aside from Cena, Punk and now Bryan and the Shield. After 2010, most things really didn't feel important.

I think Orton is one of the luckiest wrestlers. Dude was going nowhere for years but WWE stuck with him and he's now somehow managed to rack up lots of accomplishments under everyone's radar.

Washing his gear.

Or maybe he hangs out there. Older white dudes hang out at laundromats ALL THE TIME.
I just imagined he would have a washing machine for that. Even if he's on the road, I would think his hotel would have one unless Japan doesn't have washing machines in hotels.

I think Cena winning was pretty obvious. Orton was just recently a huge flop as the champion and it's be weird for him to get the belt since you'd have no direction to go. Reigns and Cesaro are way too early. Del Rio is lol, so is Kane. Sheamus is essentially a mid-carder and fits nowhere. Bray didn't feel like a contender either after the Cena fued. That leaves your safe option in Cena. This just shows the lack of starpower in the WWE roster. They have Cena, Orton, and Bryan. The other main eventers are all part timers like Triple H, Lesnar and Batista.

They need to make an effort to establish the Shield, Cesaro and Wyatt within the next year because if they mess up there, they're going to be even more stuck in 1-2 years time. So far, they're doing well with them all except Cesaro who seems to be going downhill since Wrestlemania.

Loudest Rumble pop ever? Where is Rumble 2015 at?

"According to PWInsider.com, WWE is currently planning to hold next year's Royal Rumble event at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA on January 25th."

Loudest Rumble pop ever.

Louder than Cena / Orton staredown?

I sincerely doubt that, friend.
