The Friday the 13th game is being made by like 4 people, so I doubt we'd see anything like that. Plus it would probably be a rights nightmare that they couldn't handle. Rights alone are why the game doesn't have a Freddy vs Jason skin for Jason
This is why I respect the hell out of Rocket League and, to a lesser degree, Friday the 13th. They're indie games that don't simply try to cash in on your SNES era nostalgia. Hell, lots of people don't even know Rocket League is even an indie game because it feels like it has AAA polish.

It was a backer bonus, I'm peeved about it but they were very clear it would never be released and only for those that supported.So when an indie game dev locks a character behind a preorder bonus it's apparently perfectly ok

Like I said, if a AAA dev/publisher did this people would be furious. But an indie dev does it and its ok.
It's also stupid to do that considering probably more than 2/3rds of the buyers of this game didn't even know it was a kickstarter

What's the longest someone has held it? I think last year was my first MitB.
I'm surprised they've never done a story where the holder is running out of time to use it and there's all this pressure on them potentially missing their moment.
