Damn! I'm hoping the WWE realizes how big Ryder is now these days. I'm hoping he shows up when I go to Raw.

It's not so much that Vince hates the Internet so much as he hates the outside world.

He likes to wrap himself in the insular blanket that is the WWE in Stamford and to surround himself with people who have never watched wrestling that will smile and nod and say everything is great who will not present any challenging ideas and will gladly surrender their entire lives to him and rewrite entire shows on a whim when Vince wants to do something different.

The Internet likes to call out all of the flaws in his uncreative process so it is something to be shunned, feared, ribbed, mocked and summarily ignored.

Because Vince can never be wrong. And his jokes are always funny. Especially when they're pulled on employees like Zack Ryder and Mark Henry.
 
man...had a good time with those Warrior videos. To be frank, he doesn't sound crazy at all. I don't know if EVERYTHING he said is true... But it adds to shit we already knew and can agree with. Hogan has been holding down people his whole career.

Seriously, why can't other wrestling companies use story lines like this? Stories based in reality that have ACTUAL emotion. I can't wait for this match, it's going to be awesome, although I'm really torn over who I want to win. Davey deserves the belt, but Eddie's run has been great so far.

Looks nice. I might start watching ROH since they are getting a tv deal. Hopefully production values are much better.

This is the same guy who did not hear of Scarface when the idea for Razor Ramon was pitched. Vince thought Hall and Nash were geniuses.

This is also the same guy who did not hear of Pirates of the Caribbean when the idea for Paul London's pirate gimmick was pitched.

He does close himself from the outside. I can understand not watching those films, but not hearing of them at all?
 
And people think HHH will make things better but he's just as insular and weird too. I remember Meltzer telling a story around the time it came out that Vince banned the term "belt" because he associates it with southern rasslin. A couple of agents were watching a HBO fight with HHH and HHH was flabbergasted to find out boxing championships were called belts too.

I mean...fuckin really?

Anyone that thinks Levesque is going to "make things all better" and do a complete 180 on Vince's culture of control is in for a rude awakening. Clearly Shane saw it as a lost cause which is why he got the hell out of there.

That was an awesome backstage segment as was the Angle/Jarrett parking lot brawl. From the clips I watched Impact was pretty good. I might have to start watching again until Destination X anyway.
 
The Warrior videos were quite good. No 'hard' evidence, but a lot of shit thrown out there that honestly sounds like it could be true. I thought parts 4 and 5 were the ones where he really went after Hogan, when he was talking about Macho Man and Elizabeth and bringing up the trainwreck of Hogan's children.

What seem so ironic is that I just watched that Sting promo above with Hogan.. and it was almost like Deja Vu. The Warrior was saying the same kind of stuff, except he was being serious.

No one gives a shit about just visiting a show if they are in your area. Back during the Monday night wars, WWF people used to visit WCW house shows when they were in the area and vice versa. I remember a report back in '98 that DDP visited a WWF house show somewhere in Florida and had a playful exchange backstage with The Rock.

WWE doesn't give a shit about TNA anymore anyways. Vince doesn't see them as a threat. They brought in all those huge names and still haven't pulled their ratings above the low 1's.
 
Maybe so, but still not a smart move on her part. Averno unmasked tonight in his match in Mexico. Will be interesting to see when his debut in WWE is.
 
You honestly think WWE cares about someone under a Legends contract visiting a TNA house show backstage in their hometown to say hello to friends, many of whom she met while with WWE? I'd like to hear exactly how this is "not a smart move".

Would make more sense to hang out after the show at dinner or somewhere else. In WWE's mind it's never a good thing to visit the competition. TNA I'm sure could care less and probably loves the attention this gives them.

just watched SD. as a face commentator, the Book seems to be pushing Christian a lot. part of it is business protocol, i'm sure, but the mark in me likes to think Booker and Christian share the "never were meant to main event" aspect by the top brass, but did it anyway. (and they worked together in TNA)

regardless, Booker T is the best thing to happen to WWE commentary in years. he brings a genuine excitement and un-jaded feeling to it. he botches the commentary sometimes, but whatever. he sells the matches as legit, and i dig dat, suckas. now get Stevie Ray on RAW, cuz suckas gots to know.

They need to get rid of cole on smackdown and get kevin nash's ass out there. chet lemon and black snow feat josh matthews would be pretty damn awesome.

that's funny cause I remember an interview with Paul Heyman on off the record. He basically said Vince didn't like Yes-men. He liked having Heyman around cause he would challenge everything he said. He also said Vince doesn't like things he can't control. He's the ultimate control freak. If Vince sneezed, that would make Vince very angry cause he couldn't control the sneezing.
 
If Orton doesn't wrestle tomorrow, I don't think Christian is getting the title. The whole basis of his heel turn is that he wants to beat Orton for the title. If anyone else had it, he wouldn't care.

I watched all the Warrior/Hogan videos. The Warrior comes off as a giant cunt. Who is he to tell another person how to life their life? His primary beef is Hogan has never matured or exited the wrestling lifestyle...apparently Warrior believes he has in his mind.

I don't think that's the main point. The main point is that Hulk Hogan even to this day only cares about one man. Himself. And considering Hulkamania was supposed to be a gimmick about virtues and postivity, it's all been smoke and mirrors. Hey I hear ya, Warrior can't tell him how to live his life, but the Hulkster could have used the what was given to him to push others into the spotlight. Warrior even said he supported the idea of the Hogan being the torch bearer. But with everyone saying he helped with the demise of WCW and maybe TNA, why even defend him. Sure the warrior might be nuts and he's got his own issues which lead people not to take him seriously, but nothing he said sounded that far out to me. And if Hogan was trying to sue him, was it because Warrior was going to spread lies, or was it because Hogan was just being a bully to keep his mouth shut. Whatever the case, I'm not giving Hogan a pass on anything, just because people think Warrior is crazy.

How is any of that a huge revelation? Everything you described is something I could have come up with if I was actively trying to bash Hogan.
