The previous time Piper was on Cyber Sunday, they let the vote be legit because they thought they didn't have to rig it to get the result they wanted(Dusty-Flair teaming for the first time ever). They found out the hard way Piper is hands down the most over Retired wrestler still alive.

My opinion anyway. No way the WWE actuallylets the Internet book the show.

From the Volition guy who posts over on the gaming side:

Guesses on who the mo-cap wrestling dudes are? And THQ should look into letting Volition take a stab at a WWE title.

The people who do mo-cap for THQ are Mikey of the Spirit Squad, former WWE developmental talents Micah & Tracy Taylor, and former TNA stars David Young, Chase Stevens and Cassidy Reilly.

From everything I've ever read, Cyber Sunday was not rigged. As far as the actual votes. WWE certainly influences voting in a direction, but not outright lying about the vote results.

^ What? Riley is way over at the moment and has shown he has talent.

He may be over, but he has not shown he has a lick of talent. Miz better give him the beatdown he deserves, so he can crawl over to Smackdown and feud with Jinder Mahal or something.

So this whole fans choose the matches and stipulations is like cyber monday right?

So it's rigged right?

I don't think it's rigged. If you remember last year they tried coaxing fans into picking Mysterio to face Cena in the main event, which would have made sense because it was the infamous Nexus invasion. But instead the internets picked Punk. I don't think WWE predicted that.

But, in general, they will lead on voters to pick matches they want to put on, yes.

rofl. that reminds me of Taylor Wilde saying

"I was working at Sunglass Hut at a mall in Mississauga, a job that could be maintained by a monkey, so standing around for six hours earning minimum wage wasn’t the issue. But after serving this one customer for an extended period of time he ever so politely uttered, ‘Aren’t you the TNA Woman’s Knockout Champion?’ I handed in my resignation that day."

First match for TNA Destination X confirmed:

AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Chris Daniels in a rematch of the best match in TNA history is set for the 7/10 TNA Destination X PPV.

The company is absolutely reaching out to talents from outside the company for the PPV as well.

Yeah that really made no sense. And maybe it was just the TV, but the crowd sounded dead when JoMo was shown on the screen. I would've thought he'd get some kind of pop.

Hey thanks for the reply, I'm staying with a friend in Kyoto for about 10 days in early October. Do these promotions run fairly often? I'd love to see one of the bigger promotions but I don't know if I'll have the time (or money) to make the trip into Tokyo. Would love to see MVP wrestle in New Japan, what other names are over there at the moment?

Yeah, the bigger promotions usually have month long tours that they take across the country, finishing with a big show in their home town. I don't know of any promotions that run Kyoto itself, but there may be some that run shows near Kyoto. Osaka is comparatively close to Kyoto and Osaka Pro and Dragon Gate both run shows in that area. NOAH stick mainly to the Tokyo area, but AJPW & NJPW tour all over. Hopefully near enough for you to check out a show.

I'd suggest following www.purolove.com to see if there's any shows announced somewhere that's easier for you to get to - the site's in German, but they'll list all the details for upcoming shows on the results page of each promotion.

As for names, NJPW have Giant Bernard (Albert/A-Train) who's one half of their tag champs at the moment, plus they often use ROH guys like Davey Richards. NOAH regularly bring over ROH guys like Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Edwards, while Dragon Gate use some notable US indy wrestlers like PAC, Ricochet, Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano. Osaka Pro use CHIKARA guys sometimes and DDT have El Generico over at the moment. Other than that, guys like TAKA Michinoku, Funaki, Ultimo Dragon, Great Muta and Tajiri are still kicking around over there.

You heard Jericho. It's time to riot.

Vince hates the Internet?
The Internet needs to show Vince that they hate him back.
And the only way to do that is to either tune out the WWE and watch something else or to protest outside of WWE events with picket signs.

Frankly, the WWE & TNA brass will consider the Internet as 10%ers until they do something about it or sports entertainment is reduced to irrelevancy.
Internet smarks are ten percenters, and even that is generous.

Impact spoilers for 6/23:

Dark Match:
*Gunner def. Luke Gallows

Xplosion:
*Magnus (w/ Douglas Williams) def. Orlando Jordan with a michinoku driver in an Xplosion Championship tournament match

Impact Wrestling:
*Bully Ray def. Scott Steiner after hitting him with the steel chain in a Bound For Glory Series match

* Eric Bischoff comes out and immediately calls out Sting for what he did to Hulk Hogan last week. Sting comes out and gets in Eric's face. He says he's a cancer, a dirt bag and just not a nice person. He backs him in a corner, punches him, hits a Scorpion Deathdrop and then paints Bischoff's face red. He locks in a Scorpion Deathlock until Bischoff passes out and leaves.

*Jacqueline & ODB def. Velvet Sky & Miss Tessmacher after Jacqueline low blowed Velvet

*Crimson & Matt Morgan def. Beer Money in a Bound For Glory Tag Series match after Morgan hit the Carbon Footprint on Roode

*AJ Styles comes to the ring. He talks about the history of the X Division and how it built the company. Names from the past like Kid Kash or Jerry Lynn might be showing back up. He says for one night only the six-sided ring will be back and how he's back in the X Division. Samoa Joe comes out and says he agrees with what he says. He says they should hook it up again. Christopher Daniels comes out and says they're right, the X Division built things and moved up to the top of the card. He asks if they should do the match everybody wants one more time? He asks AJ if he's up for AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels one last time? AJ agrees and they shake on it. Joe is mad and has some words for AJ as everybody leaves.

*Shima Xion def. Federico Palacios & Dakota Darsow to win a contract for a match at Destination X after a 450 splash on Darsow

*Winter def. Velvet Sky in a falls count anywhere match that started backstage after Angelina Love interfered and hit her finisher

*Abyss def. Sting via DQ after Sting used a barbed-wire glove on Abyss

Yeah. I would say 5% or less. That's why Vince can shit on us, he knows we're such a small constituency.

That may be true, but when a whole arena is chanting for a wrestler that wasn't featured, that's saying something. It's like Ziggles said -- Vince isn't ribbing Ryder, he's ribbing the fans that paid to see him. And that's bad for business.

I think the general consensus, unless I missed something, is that they brought back a guy who was already on the shelf to give heat to a guy main eventing the next ppv, which is a really smart (being the opposite of wack) move.

We're the ones paying $1000+ for Wrestlemania tickets, Little Jimmy doesn't have squat for disposable income.

Marks may make up a large percentage of the TV audience, but they clearly are not 90-95% of the people in the live audience.

krae_man said:
WWE scalps the best Wrestlemania tickets for even more then that, $1000 is just face value.

You sort of have to think that anyone who is willing to pay more than 1k to watch a WWE product deserves the shit Vince gives them.

No offense to anyone in WrestleGAF who has paid over a THOUSAND FUCKING DOLLARS to watch pro rasslin.

krae_man said:
I've paid $300 5 times. I know some Gaffers have sprung for the $750(now $850) Wrestlemania tickets before.
Awesome. Smarks are still a very marginal portion of the audience, live or not. That sea of Cena shirts isn't a bunch of people wearing them ironically.

Oh wow, nice to see a guy like
Shiima Xion
get a chance in TNA. But regardless of whatever good work they do with Destination X, I'm sure it'll revert to the usual TNA crap soon enough.

The "Cena Sucks" chants are every bit as loud as the "Lets go Cena" chants.

Live audiences are very smarky.
People that think Cena sucks and people who take to the Internet to bitch about everything Vince does are probably not the same people nearly as often as you think they are. People who think that Cena sucks are just the people above ten who aren't there with people below ten. That has zero to do with anything.

Being a smark just means you know it's fake and you don't care, it doesn't mean you were bothered that Zach Ryder wasn't on Raw. Internet smarks are a tiny minority, sorry.

I'm sorry, I really don't mean to badger you krae_man but how did you feel after attending WWE events for $300? Was there any remorse?

Do you ever think "if I hadn't spent $1500 on WWE live events, I could buy..." and then make up a list of things you could buy if you hadn't spent $1500 on WWE live events?

No not at all. The first Bragging Rights kind of sucked but I got to see the Undertaker Live for the first time and the other 4 were good. It's still fun to yell something at a wrestler or bring a sign and have them react to it. I don't regret seeing Edge-Cena TLC live, I don't regert seeing a Royal Rumble Live, I don't regret going to a Summerslam. I got to see Brotista's last match live. Plus I like the "Keep your chair" thing. It's a great keepsake.

It's more then that if you count the 1-2 times a year Raw or Smackdown go to Toronto and no. It's disposable income, This money didn't come from my retirement fund or anything. I enjoy traveling and I do other stuff while I'm in the cities. Every one of my trips has been fun.

Yes

dream said:

No, I don't buy Merch. The Lines are huge and with WWE's stupid check every sign twice before you let them into their seats policy there's no time to buy merch without missing the show. I do have some Shirts, but they have either been birthday presents or won/caught from a shirt cannon.

Fuck it, 20 questions for krae_man.

1) What events did you pay $300 to see?
2) How many did John Cena headline?
3) How many ended with John Cena celebrating with the Cenation?
4) Did you buy programs?
5) Did you have to pay for parking or did you take public transportation?
6) Did you get the tickets via presale as a member of the WWE Universe?
7) Did you bring signs? If so, what did they say?
8) How many people did you go with on average?
9) Did you participate in any chants?
10) Were you on camera?
11) Did you go to see a specific talent?
12) Did you just go because you wanted to attend the event?
13) Why did you get the $300 tickets?
14) Do you feel like you would have had the same experience in cheaper seats?
15) Would you go to another WWE live event? If so:
16) Would you pay $300 again to sit in the same section?
17) Of the 5 events you went to, which offered the most value for your money?
18) Did any of the 5 events leave you wishing you had watched it on TV instead?
19) Would you pay $300 to attend a non-WWE live event?
20) Do you feel like the WWE respects you as a high-end customer who pays significant amounts of money to view their product?

fuck the spoiler shit...

how the fuck does hitting a low blow of a female work?????????????????????????

While smarks are indeed a minority, their complaints about how bad things are shouldn't be ignored as demonstrated by declining ratings and buyrates that have gotten into laughably bad territory. Just look at Orton: all the crowd reactions are normally very positive in his favor, yet they move him to headline Smackdown and it's ratings have been on a nose dive ever since, he simply is not a draw.

I think RKP is like Lebron. He's a good second option, but he'll never be the man.

And he really should be a bad guy.

Smackdown spoilers for 6/17:

Smackdown opens with World champion Randy Orton coming out and announcing his concussion but says that he doesn't care and still wants a piece of Christian. Teddy Long comes out and says he doesn't care and wants Christian. Long says he can't allow Orton to compete. Christian comes out and says he's going to win the World title this Sunday. This brings out Sheamus who says he beat Orton last week and he's the one who deserves a title shot. Christian calls him Strawberry Shortcake and tells him that it's not his time. Long announces Christian vs. Sheamus for the main event tonight. If Sheamus wins, he gets into the title match on Sunday and it's a Triple Threat. If Christian wins, the match remains as it currently stands. Orton will be at ringside but not allowed to get involved.

*In a rematch from Raw, Sin Cara & Daniel Bryan & Ezekiel Jackson defeated Ted DiBiase & Cody Rhodes & WWE Intercontinental champ Wade Barrett when Bryan pinned DiBiase in what was obviously a terribly screwed up finish as the referee counted three as DiBiase kicked out.

*Sheamus cuts a backstage promo promising to beat Christian tonight and Orton Sunday to become the new World champion.

*Jinder Mahal defeated Vladimir Kozlov.

*Josh Matthews interviewed Big Show inside the ring, asking why him why he was here on Smackdown. Show said that he heard Alberto Del Rio was going to be here. Long comes out and says that if Alberto is here, Show cannot lay a hand on him. He said that Del Rio is contemplating pressing charges on Show for what he did to Ricardo on Raw. Long said he and Show will both lose their jobs if that happens (the crowd cheered, really), but Show has an opponent tonight - Mark Henry.

The match never really happens as Show goes nuts and destroys Henry, laying him out. Officials and medics come out and Henry is stretchered out.

*Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Tamina defeated AJ, Natalya & Kaitlyn when Tamina pinned AJ with a Samoan Drop.

*Johnny Curtis cuts a promo backstage saying his debut is near and (standing near a miniature gold setup) he's going to be the Ace in the hole, pulling an Ace Card out of the hole.

*Christian cuts a promo backstage saying the match against Sheamus is a bad call and he shouldn't have to prove himself to anyone.

*The Usos defeated Justin Gabriel & Health Slater.

*Alberto Del Rio arrived and cut a promo saying that Ricardo was destroyed by Big Show and can't provide for his own daughter anymore. He promised to dedicate his win this Sunday to Ricardo. They made it out like he was gone for good. Show came out and Del Rio chased into the crowd by The Big Show. Show was all mad and destroyed the ringside table.

*Christian defeated Sheamus. Randy Orton chased him to the back, then returned to punt Sheamus to close the taping.
