basketball isn't over yet? holy crap

Yeah, the basketball post season takes forever to finish. It doesn't help that, like hockey, they let literally half the teams into the goddamn playoffs. The NBA could easily trim the entire first round of the playoffs and nothing of value would be lost. But hey, gotta milk out tickets.

why the fuck is Dorada called Gran Metalik?

also that list is pretty disappointing given all the hype this got aside from tozawa, zsj, dorada. lince, and no sombra either? the rest of the list looks like a bunch of CAWs. And Tajirs.

No main roster people

Don't know a lot of the names on this list but right away I can see both Sihra's getting signed to allow WWE to keep their Indian presence.

Other than that I'm surprised to see Tajiri and THE Brian Kendrick, I'm also surprised that both Ciampa and Gargano are below the weight limit. Guess it backs up that the average NXT guy is smaller than the main roster.

A few years back Justin Gabriel was in NXT for a bit and looked like Hulk Hogan compared to most of them.

Jack Swagger/Titus also did shows around then and looked like Andre.

I'm excited about the names I'm familiar with and similarly excited about the ones I haven't heard of before.

Kota Ibushi and ZSJ are names I have wanted to scratch off my bucket list for seeing live, so I'm excited they're there.

TNA fan on Reddit who went to Slammiversary said:
I was there last night. And as good as the wrestling was, the way they ran the event was shitty.

Online it says there are no general admission tickets and that it is first come, first serve. I arrived super early to make sure I had a seat and was one of the first in line. One line turned into a disorganized mess of people but I was still in the front for no big deal

Then, they start saying things like "anyone have A or B tickets?" And letting people in. I asked what was going on and was told they give tickets away in the parks and that they get let in before everyone else.

A lot of those people were tourists who looked to be taking advantage of a free event.

I ended up waiting an hour and a half a after "doors opened" (over 2 and a half total) to get in but a lot of people were not so lucky. After all the people who got tickets in the park were let in, a lady came out and told the long line of actual TNA fans that they would only be taking the first 50 people.
I saw a kid crying his Jeff Hardy make up off and a lot of fans walking away pretty deflated.

On a funny side note, they had TNA employees handing out really badly made signs to people in the crowd.
It was disappointing to see how disorganized the event was.

Just in case people still thought there was a bias

Likei f you're gonna get a former well-known Japanese wrestling guy

why not get Ultimo instead

I think this to myself every day.

Same if you need someone to get over with a Mexican crowd. Just pick Ultimo.

Hell this morning I was watching a RAW on the road to Wrestlemania where Severn busted out the Dragon Sleeper on Shamrock and I just got fond memories of Ultimo.

I heard that his WWE career was tripping on the ramp at a show (Wrestlemania?) and getting released soon after.

I mean. I like Tajiri don't get me wrong. But he's a pretty poor selection when you're supposed to be doing a BEST OF THE BEST FROM ALL THE COUNTRIES thing

Tyson Dux being in there is awesome. He's great, if he gets paired with the likes of Gulak or Sabre, you'll all see.

Also, how come all these no-name fucks no one's ever heard of didn't have to qualify?

why the fuck is Dorada called Gran Metalik?

CMLL got copyrights on the Dorada name, perhaps? I believe he has worked the Metalik gimmick before, though.

- Eric Bischoff is back doing commentary -- noooo!
- Triple H is at his least worst when he's serving as Chyna's valet.
- Jeff Jarrett, even though he's currently IC champ, is presented, and received, as such a nobody. Can't wait to see his totally believable transition to WCW champ...
- Circling back to Bischoff: isn't he leaving soon? When does Russo show up? At least pondering the timeline is fun during this time period...

Bischoff has mentally checked out since August of 1998 and spends most of his time signing crazy people to weird deals to pop ratings/meetings in Hollywood/globetrotting with his family on Trillionaire Ted's dime. He gets fired/demoted/quits a bit after where you are.

My hopes for J-Cup are, realistically, BUSHI wins it.
Pie in the sky, Kenou is NOAH's participant and KENOU wins it.

Pretty much guarantee Aoki is going to be AJPW's entrant. And if they do Aoki/Eita and Aoki/Kenou. Oh baby.

Then CMLL is literally throwing away free advertising
