I think there will be more to it, you don't just have a GIGANTIC FUCKING CRUISE SHIP complete with the logos as just a way for tourists to get there. I mean, maybe but... I bet there will be more to it. Maybe the surviving main characters reach it near the end and the climax could happen on it. That would be interesting.

Wow so I wonder if the Jurassic World tour experience begins with people taking a cruise ship to the island from some other place in the Caribbean. That would actually be pretty cool, spend some time on the ship eagerly anticipating getting to the island park and seeing the dinos for real.
 
Ya know, I don't think it will completely sink in for me that we are getting the first JP in 14 years until I'm in a theater and sitting down to watch it.

I really hope once the marketing starts they play their cards pretty close to the chest. Would hate that by the time the movie drops we've seen the majority of the big shots and reveals. The Godzilla marketing seemed to be acing this up until the past month or so. Feel like they've shown too much now.
 
I love the concept of it being this big new elegant theme park instead of just another sequel with returning characters visiting Isla Sorna ruins for whatever stupid reason they could come up with. This will perhaps bring back that sense of wonder, and I think that may come from, in addition to new dinosaurs, to how they're actually presented. The best part of 3 was the pteranodon aviary. The location and atmosphere was amazing.

We know what the dinosaurs look like; now how about changing up the environments and sets and injecting them with creativity? That could really go a long way toward making it feel more wondrous. When I heard the rumor that it would be a new operational park, my first opinion was that I kinda dug it, but I also thought about how stupid the characters running the new park would have to be to do so.

But then I thought, maybe the new park runners aren't aware of just how bad news this could be, and maybe they're pompous arrogant pricks that think they could one-up Hammond. I mean they even tried to do this in The Lost World, right down to taking a fucking Tyrannosaurs Rex to SAN DIEGO. So, at least this will be in line with the same kind of fucktards that want to make money off the creatures.
 
Weren't there rumors that the dinosaurs in this one are somehow tame? Maybe the new park owners thought they were able to genetically engineer the animals to be safe enough to exhibit in a park (still with a lot of safety measures and security). Sort of like doing what humans took thousands of years to do through animal domestication but through DNA manipulation.

Of course, they end up being wrong and the dinosaurs go on a killing spree anyway.

Lol *fingers crossed*. I'm just kinda still in awe that it's taken so long for a sequel to get off the ground. I almost didn't believe this was happening until I saw the set pics. Especially after the first delay when it was a month (?) or so from filming.

BTW I figure this might be of some interest for y'all here since JP's soundtrack is probs one of the most iconic soundtracks ever so...

This art gallery down in Austin is reissuing the soundtrack on vinyl with new artwork and crazy vinyl designs. I think the last time the soundtrack was out on vinyl was in the 90s on a picture disk (notorious shitty sound quality). Regardless, even if you don't own a record player this looks cool as fuck. It's out on the film's 21st anniversary, June 11th.

I remember rumors that the "big bad dino," if it were to escape, would be hunted down by domesticated velociraptor police or some shit, but I'm pretty sure that was shot down.

Yeah, that's fake. However, the pictures of them filming at the docks earlier are not. I wouldn't be surprised to see a CG JW Cruise ship, because that looks like a loading dock for one.

Hope they can get all the visitors off the island asap in this movie. Part of the magic of Jurassic Park was that they were ALONE.

Now that the park seems to be a massive tourist attraction, how would they do that?
Emergency evacuation cruise ship ride back? Seems unlikely.
Couple that with the fact that all these tourists would have mobile phones and it seems hard to get the same magic as in JP1.
We better brace for hundreds of stupid screaming tourists running through the frame left and right.

There's a hardcore survival game called The Stomping Land coming out, which is basically DayZ with dinosaurs instead of zombies.
