Jusant will be getting a physical edition for the PS5 after reaching critical success late last year. This climbing game will be getting a deluxe box set as well, which includes a vinyl soundtrack and a big art book with behind-the-scenes interviews.

Pix'n Love and the publisher of the game Don't Nod announced the physical release on Thursday and confirmed an October 2024 launch. It will be exclusively available on Pix'n Love's website.

The deluxe edition contains the following:
  • A large cardboard box with art from the game
  • Four lithographs
  • 300-page making-of artbook with "design sketches and unpublished interviews with the developers"
  • A double vinyl that contains the soundtrack of the game. It will be signed by the composer Guillaume Ferran
The deluxe edition will be limited to just 300 copies, so it will likely be tough to get. You've been warned.

Pre-orders go live on July 9 at 4 p.m. (UK time) on pixnlove's online store.

Pix'n Love Have Experience With Physical Editions

Pix'n Love, since 2008, has been focused on books that tell the history of video games and has published over 100 of them. However, the company has now expanded into publishing video games. For example, this French company has published the legendary SNK fighting game Garou - Mark of the Wolves, the cult-favorite indie Windjammers 2, and the beat-em-up RPG Young Souls.

Wonderful game. They took one of the most boring video game gameplay elements (climbing), built the whole game around it and somehow managed to made one of the best games of 2023.

Nice to see it getting a physical version, played it on gamepass, finished the story but wasn't that great imo.some of the rope swinging parts were frustrating...sure it will sell out but the soundtrack does not standout at all.did anyone find the music good?completely different game but I preferred planet of lana in terms of a small indie type game.

What time is it?

I thought Planet of Lana was really derivative. I have a lot of quibbles about Jusant but I do think it has a lot of potential mechanically.

With the preorders now open I've secured my copies, including one of the 300 Deluxe "Ballast Edition".
That's what you get for having such a big mouth and trumpeting that you'll definitely buy it as soon as it comes out as a physical release ... 200€ less, which I haven't actually budgeted for games this month :messenger_grinning_sweat:

I gotta say I'm not a fan of super limited physical editions (with no 'standard' version available). 300 copies seems like a deliberately low number to have the collectors fight over it.

Dayum... money well spent I'd say!

I think in my case I'll have to be satisfied with just the standard version, which I'll probably pre-order later this month. Also, pleasantly surprised to see the shipping cost being quite cheap. :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

As far as I understand the release, even the standard version is limited to 1000 copies (?)

Edit: it's called "first edition"
  • First Edition: includes a reversible cover.
  • Limited to 1000 copies.
Maybe there will be a "second edition" without reversible covers as well...mh

Well ... you know what you've gotta do ... :messenger_tongue:
Man... I don't even want to look how much I spent in the past 2 weeks on physical games which were mostly JP and NA imports. I mean, I have a spreadsheet with all my game-related purchases, so all I'll have to do in order to find out is do a basic sum function... :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Let's just say this physical release kinda dropped at a bad time for me. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
