Most of the "last 30 seconds" videos I've recorded on the PS3 have come out completely garbled. I've just been saving them to the hdd. Is there a known issue here?
Why is there so many vehicle upgrade parts laying around. 
I'm trying to max out my AR+SMG+frag and I just got enough for my AR to be maxed out.. I've found 86 vehicle parts but only 40-ish weapon parts.. :lol
Does anyone actually buy vehicles from the market? :lol It's much easier/cheaper (free) to just remember good vehicle spawns and extract to them.

There needs to be some kind of lock-on system for the jet weapons, air combat right now just doesn't really work...

The unintended side effects of the grapple mod are hilarious. Now when you try and attach two objects together, they'll sometimes slingshot together at a 1000mph, explode and sent debris/bodies flying 500 feet in the air at the speed of sound. :lol

I spent an hour last night just flying around in the C130(?) over villages and places to discover them. Ended up exploding the craft in a fireball as I approached the island in the top left of the map. I guess there is some crazy voodoo evil going on there. Scared the hell out of me.
I'm about 12 hours in now and this is easily GOTY so far. Some of the perfect time and place stuff I've seen in incredible. The sea shelf receeding into darkness, glistening rivers, dense jungles, orange gasoline fireballs in midday, all incredible.

hopefully someone will make a mod that replaces all of the voice actors, if i hear that SOB call me seradadu or soldadu (whichever one it is) one more time I'm grappling a vehicle to a plane as it flys over (woa that would be awesome!!)

I think that should be the first add on content they put out. A cheats & tweaks pack for consoles that gives you the option to turn on stuff like multiple/infinite grapples, wacky physics, invisibility etc...it would be nice if it was already in the game, but I'm willing to pay for just about anything they make available, JC2 is that good.

Some questions: (360 version)
Is it possible to para-sail behind a boat/car? When I grapple down to one, I just get sucked down to the vehicle. I thought there was some theory that while you couldn't para-sail in the dummy, you would be able to in the full game. No? Ooo! Maybe I need to hold the grapple button....
I was trying to find a good place to do a BASE jump off of. I found a large facility perched on a cliff, with a heli-pad extending out over the drop. I ran off the edge of the pad and free-fell for... a while. I popped my chute before splattering, but I didn't get any announcement about how far I fell. How come not? Do I have to jump off of dirt, rather than a building? Should I not open my chute, ever? I've gotten "credit" for much smaller jumps. Why not that one?

2.) It should tell you at the top left how far you're falling, I think it updates every fifty feet. Are you going for the achievement/trophy?

I think if we do have another contest for this game, perhaps someone should make an 'official thread for JC2 video contests'. I think part of the problem is people aren't looking at the OP anymore and are just coming here to post the fun they're having and then go back to playing.
If there was a thread specifically for contests, and the OP would get changed every time a new contest happens, this might work better since it's 100% focused on the event.
Just an idea...although I suppose with this thread, a JC2 YouTube video thread, and an additional contest thread it might be too many JC2 threads for the mods' liking.

Yeah i'm not sure how thin JC2 stuff should be spread. I don't think we should have even made a separate video thread. But a new one for a new contest could be an good idea when the time comes, but I don't think that time should be anytime soon, at least not until the DLC drops.
I do wish the game, and this thread, were getting even more love though! I'm at the point where I almost feel like i'm posting stupid crap when the thread gets slow just to get it moving again :lol

Yep this is correct. The Contest wasn't 'advertised' too well to people who weren't following the thread as much, I think a dedicated thread will draw in more people. It might also be that people are still trying to complete the game, I doubt anyone here has even got over 80% yet. Later on down the line most people will have finished the main storyline and will be looking for more things to do.

Tonight's project will be continuing my spree of 100%-ing settlements. I honestly thought I'd get sick of this eventually, but somehow I can spend hours just going from place to place getting 100%. Really satisfies the OCD. :lol

.I wonder what we still have left to discover. I imagine there has to be some stuff that you can't see from the air, and the only real way to find it is just walk around at ground level. I kinda doubt that every inch of the island has been combed at ground level, but who knows.

Yesterday I found a REALLY deep water hole. It was so deep that by the time I reached the bottom I was at 17% Oxygen and there was no way to go back so I just drowned. I want to explore that a bit more since it's pretty odd. It was right off the shore of a little village too, really weird since even offshore oil rigs aren't in water that deep. They already put a reference to a TV show in the game, so maybe there's a reference to the movie "The Abyss" down there somewhere. :lol

If you start on land at that village, and go straight into the water travelling North, and slightly East, dive down while you can still see the bottom, and then suddenly it will just drop off nearly vertical. What sucks is by the time you get to the bottom and want to explore, you have about 5-10 seconds before you're dead lol.

Most of the missions stick to the same formula as other sandbox games, like assassinating a bad guy, stealing a vehicle, destroying stuff, protecting someone. There are a few standouts, though, like the Mile High Club mission and the TV station Sky Scraper.
Even though the missions aren't that great or original they're still pretty fun thanks to the awesome grapple hook and Avalanche engine.

Most of the missions are pretty unique (as in not repetative, but nothing new to gaming...basic escort missions, takeover this place, kill this guy, etc.) except for the Faction Stronghold Takeovers where you go with your gang buddies to takeover a military base. There are only 9 of those, and each one is 99% like the other lol.
But there are 7 "story" missions and 49 Faction Missions ("side missions") and they're all quite a bit of fun IMO.
That's one of the things I would hope to see in Just Cause 3. I hope the story still doesn't take itself seriously, but I would gladly welcome more missions because they're really fun to do in this game since you can do anything you want to approach them.
