Alright... few questions

1) Money is made by causing chaos, right? I figure I'll always be able to cause chaos and blow up stuff (which respawns? no idea) and thus money won't be an issue?

2) Upgrading weapons/cars... should I be upgrading everything? Should I wait until I have guns or cars I'd like better?

Focus on weapon upgrades, specifically those which you use a lot. I use the pistols and shotguns, so I focused on these first.

If you want to upgrade vehicles, focus on the helicopters-and if you use them at all, boats. Cars are a dime a dozen, and none are worth purchasing since you can grab a ped's car whenever you want. You don't get access to cool cars until much later in the game anyway, so upgrading cars is not a wise choice.

You get money for just about everything you do, dont worry too much about procuring it. There are even crates full of it. You dont get money just for causing chaos, but if you complete a settlement you get a little reward

as for cars and upgrades, do your weapons first. Get the assault rifle or machine gun right up there quickly along with grenades and c4. Upgrade the things you use, it sounds retarded, but it does take a long time to procure upgrade parts. Upgrade the jet and mini helicopter first, those are the most useful for how big the world is.

I've just done another two hours and I haven't come remotely close to anything resembling a mission. I've assassinated military commanders, hijacked jets and helicopters in mid-air, blown up far too many things with remote C4 and tanks...

Every time I came close to stopping I just found something new to do. It's going to suck tens of hours out of me, I can tell. :lol

Ten hours in, ten hour of pure fun. Incredible game so far.

I'm a bit sad that taking over enemy territory is so similar, as it would be cool for a bit of variety there, but that's about it. I haven't even started to try the crazy shit yet... it's only a matter of time before I try and link various thinks to a 747. :lol

Just picked up this game and about 4-5 hours of my night melted away. I was really surprised how easy it was to fly the helicopter (from BFBC2's helicopters) and the grapple hook might be the best thing ever.

Can't wait to play more tonight.

For some reason, I stopped playing this before completing the last agency mission :lol. Just hopped back in today, hopefully i'll complete it now. This game is amazing.

My only complaint at the moment would be that each enemy camp basically has the exact same things to blow up. Gas tank here, SAM there, radio tower over there...

It's just not fun blowing them up any more. I understand the limitations of creating a game SO big, so I'm not overly critical of this, but in Just Cause 3 I'd love it if many of the places had unique things to blow up. Buildings, for example. Having to take out the support for them ala Red Faction or whatever.

I only blow stuff up now if it helps me fight the enemies because I never think "woah what will happen if I destroy that?"

I think the Red Faction route would be the next logical step for Just Cause. God forbid they make the map bigger or the altitude higher. Just make the entire map destructible.

That last mission is fucking insane.
Dr. Strangelove eat your heart out with nuke riding. :lol

I finished at 30.2%, so a lot more mayhem to randomly cause over the next few months.

Just ordered this for the PC from Zavvi, and just have a question about how Steam Cloud works with this.

From what i know, it has multiple save slots, so which one gets uploaded to Steam Cloud, or do all of them ? Me and my brother will be playing this with seperate saves so it would be useful to know :)

Sorry for bumping this topic, but I was wondering something; what's the best and fastest way to unlock the next story mission? I only have the "finish the game on Hardcore" trophy left for my platinum, but I'm already pretty fucking sick of the game, and wanna blast through it right now.

It's been a while , but I believe the stronghold missions and a few fraction missions should give you enough chaos to unlock the main missions, don't bother 100% settlements, ect

Attack chopper + blowing up stuff from above, moving from copter to copter once you've been noticed?

Just picked this up finally(PS3), about 5 hours in and I've only done 2 missions! Great stuff. I haven't read the thread for fear of spoilers, but a couple questions

1. Both missions were basically the same, escort a guy to a terminal to get a base. The third faction icon is no longer visible on the map, did I do something wrong?

2. What the hell is the best way to get around the map? I keep running into soldiers that shoot at me on sight. I figure I'm missing something.

3. Is there any way to make the minimap bigger?

All in all it's pretty fun so far, and a nice change of pace from RDR which I've been playing for weeks (and loving).

Isn't there still some DLC that hasn't been released yet? I thought there was supposed to be a parachute pack with different designs or something.

Nice, definitely worth it. I wish my PC could play this game so I could play around with mods. I've sunk a lot of time into this game on the 360, and I only just got past 50%. :lol

Fucking bullshit. It's unplayable in the city. Don't I meet the system requirements? The CPU is a 2 GHz C2D. Fucking PC gaming.

Has nothing to do with PC gaming in general, just don't expect too much power out of a 3 year old mobile GPU model.

JC2 is actually a pretty scaleable game in my experience. Ran very well on my 4850 and even better (and better looking of course) on my 5850 now.

If your definition of scalabity is between a high-end and an ultra-end card instead of between middle-end and high-end cards, then whatever. I want my $30 back. Playing Bayonetta would have been more fun than watching a 10 FPS benchmark that looks like crap. (yes, I'm mad)

Isnt the minimum requirement an 8800GT ?

Anyhoo, i see the DLC is cheap this weekend, worth £3.45 to buy it all ? :p Just completed the main story with 24% complete, some extra toys could be fun.

Yup:
Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista/7
Processor: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon 64 X2 4200/Pentium D @ 3 GHz)
Memory: 2 GB
Hard Drive: 10 GB Free
Video Memory: 256 MB (NVIDIA GeForce 8800/ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro)
Sound Card: DirectX Compatible
DirectX: 10
Keyboard & Mouse
DVD Rom Drive

About DLC, I havent messed with anything aside from the 2 black market packs and they are awesome. Especially the aerial pack with the parachute thrusters (which can also be modded to be even awesome-er)

And here I was thinking a $100 graphics card is kinda on the low end as far as graphics cards go.

PRO TIP: There are these things called demonstrations (or "demos" for short) that let you try a small portion of a computer game for free. By downloading a "demo" prior to the purchase of a computer game, you are able to see if your system is capable of playing the game in the first place.

Hopefully this will help you avoid any future frustrations while navigating the untamed wilderness of PC gaming.

Question for anyone who might know: I'm currently rocking the shit with Rico's gun (I think it was DLC?) but want to know: how do I get ammo for it? From what I can tell, ammo can only be picked up for anything via ammo boxes or guys you've killed. Can it be bought anywhere other than buying the whole gun from the air-drop guy?

So, got this yesterday since i updated to win 7. Is there any way to fix the HUGE mouse lag ? :/
I don't have any noticeable mouse lag. Maybe tweak the settings some....can't ssao(or was it v sync) cause mouse lag? I do know that I have both of those turned off with v sync being handled by d3doverrider instead.

It's usually poor vsync implementation. Turn off the game's vsync option and use d3doverrider to force vsync, it usually fixes that issue. Without d3doverrider I would have uninstalled the shit out of Dead Space (30 FPS and input lag, yeah get fucked EA).

Aactually i just lowered a bit of the settings (no vsync (doesnt seem to be almost any tearing), no ssao, mid-shadows and something else) and now its just fine, no mouse lag and pretty constant fps.

After i did that i said "lets try it" and 5 hours later, i closed the game :lol

So fun.

Just to put it out there, im running it great with almost everything in High or Very high, only a cople things on Mid. No Vsync and SSAO with:

9600gt512ddr3
E7200 @ 2.5ghz
2gb RAM
Win 7 ultimate

And it runs beautifuly. Needed something like this after struggling with GTA IV (it wasnt THAT bad, but yeah this is way better).

My point is that i dont find my pc to have a monster rig, not even an awesome one, these days it could be considered a mid-level rig, and the game works great, so yeah, dont blame requirements.

So since completing the game I was getting a bit bored of blowing up settlements etc, so I've turned to mods and holy fuck have I had fun.

I just tried the unbreakable hook, got in a 747, lined up behind another that was just taking off and flew up in the air with it. Then as I was in mid air I tethered the two planes together and took over the other plane, so it was basically just dragging the other along. It went well for a bit, until the other plane started swinging around too much and I got dragged down into the middle of the city. :lol

Ya', one time, i hooked a 747 to the ground, just a second after the take off.. it smashed down gloriously(on me :lol).
