This is all assuming Man of Steel is a hit, which is not a foregone conclusion.

You're right though.

Lol oh Smallville. I remember seeing this for the first time too and was so excited. That's how much Smallville deprived its fans of any real superhero stuff.

To be fair, by the time Smallville got serious about making use of the DCU, they were stripped of a large part of their budget. Early seasons had $3 million an episode to play with. The later seasons are estimated to average $1.5 million / episode.

I feel like we'd get one more female on the team.. and Cyborg since they seem really big on the character right now.

I want Paula Patton to play Wonder Woman. She can pack on a bit more definition for the role. Would also be great to see all the losers bitch about a black Wonder Woman.

I'm annoyed that we have to use Barry Allen and not Wally West. If it was the latter, there is only one choice in my mind:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Rosenbaum

He voiced the Flash in the JL/U cartoon and I guess you could say he looks like a Wally West.

Other than that... I don't really care. I find casting threads kind of odd. There are so many potential candidates and so many factors that influence a performance that it seems pointless to post a picture of an actor with a certain expression and haircut and say "he looks like him!"

EDIT: lol, I'm more curious what you guys think which characters should be in the JLA movie... that will spill draw some blood I imagine.

Superhero movies seem content with just one token female character. It'd definitely be nice though to get another (or you know, a 50/50 split but that's asking way too much). I'd guess either Black Canary, Hawkgirl, or maybe Zatanna.

Probably a stretch and not likely to happen.. but Anne Hathway says she wants to return as Catwoman.. they should pursue that.. and try a Birds of Prey movie with her in the lead...

Not many female vehicles in the capes genre.

Olivia Wilde for Wonder Woman please. DEM CHEEKBONES. But seriously, she's been my ideal candidate for WW for years.

Taylor Kitsch for Aqua Man (although that sounds like a raw deal already being in Battleship and John Carter).

Matt Bomer for ANYONE. As long as the script calls for him somehow baring his chest.

I can see why people would want ryan reynolds as Wally. One-dimensional, has horrible timing when it comes to comedy, more about looks than getting the job done, and overall just a chump that is called in when real actors can't take a role.

Someone's never read Mark Waid's run on The Flash.

EDIT: Ugh, just realized who I was replying to. I shouldn't have bothered, you're hopeless.

Superman: Henry Cavill
Batman: Christian Bale
Wonder Woman: Lynn Collins
Flash: Ryan Reynolds
Green Lantern: David Boreanaz
Martian Manhunter: Idris Elba
Aquaman: Not sure

Batman - Bill Murray
Superman - Dan Aykroyd
Wonder Woman - Sigourney Weaver
Green Lantern - Harold Ramis
The Flash - Rick Moranis
Martian Manhunter - Ernie Hudson

Hint: One of those casting options was actually considered for a prior film.

with all the rumors about Darkseid being the villian in the JL movie, who would even be a good enough choice to cast? i don't think a CG character would work.

Not to sound racist, but did they have slaves in Greece back then? Otherwise it's gonna be odd for Wonder Woman to be mixed looking.

This is the dumbest fucking post.

For many reasons.

But for my sanity, let's just stick with the fact that Wonder Woman's original origin story was that she was formed out of clay and given life by the gods, and could technically therefore look like any color that clay can look like.

They had slaves. Mostly white ones though.

Here's the thing though. Wonder Woman was not an actual Greek. However as a Greek citizen I would like to extend Ms. Patton an open invitation to join the Greek people. By way of becoming my bride. I am doing this of course as way of calming down the internet should she try for the role.

I still think Lynn Collins is the better choice.
