Himeko best classmate for sure yoYeahI kinda like her too.
Poyunch seemed to have had a appropriate gif but seemed to have deleted it... Anyways, Ichigo is kinda popular, but nowhere near as popular as Himeko. She's crazy popular for being just a background character. Probably because she's a softball player, if you know what I mean.
Himeko best classmate for sure yo
This thread moves crazy fast :lol
And people seemed to like Ichigo too, didn't they? The (almost) mute shtick!
Ichigo is my favorite classmate. I guess she seemed pretty smug and I have a thing for smug, quiet girls.
Himeko best classmate for sure yo
Western appreciation of characters seems to be more diverse than Japanese otaku, who are content celebrating the same archetype over and over again.
All based on hearsay and those polls, ofcourse.
The background is pink so it's like a bed. ;;>_>
I always took her as being a little spacey, rather than smug. I remember reading that there are plenty of doujins involving the classmates, and I can see why, there is all that scope for projection.
I suppose it does move fast for what kind of thread this is, but I like it like this.Himeko best classmate for sure yo

One of my first image results for Himeko was lewd, unsurprisingly.
Wasn't for me, just what have you been searching up in the past? hmmm?
Doujins are like 99% fanwanks. If someone recommends me a doujin, the first thing I always ask is if it's quality fanwank. Expecting it to not be fanwanking of some sort is setting myself up to be disappointed.
I tend to search through blogs for images, and our definitions of what constitutes "lewd" is very different!
I'm not adverse to reading doujin, but I know if I just went searching and found lots of pointlessly pandering fan-service material, then I'd just get annoyed and not bother. So, has anyone got anything of note worth recommending?
Is selling Doujinshi based on a copyrighted work even legal?
What do you consider lewd?
Considering doujins are often translated as fanzines, you're not really going to find ones that aren't fanservice-y, though there are plenty that are non-h. Though not a doujin, have you checked out the K-ON! Anthology Comics? It's basically a group of K-ON! comics done by guest artists.
As it relates to fan-art, I don't really care for the sexualized stuff, not that it offends me or anything. I mainly just like to joke about the sheer amount of it. And this was the picture I was referring to, and all things considered, it probably just skirts being NSFW.
Chet, tell me if that is bannable, you have bore our sins in the past, after all!
Reason: I'm looking at you PokeGAF
Que?
Ha! I love you all *waves*
Whoever you may be.
Have I not told the story?
Yes, but you can't just link to porn or hentai and slap a NSFW and think you're safe.I think the rule pertains to in-lining images which are NSFW. If you link to it and properly tag it as NSFW, people don't complain because it's their fault if they clicked on it.
...Maybe
Most companies probably don't care because it's free promotion. I mean, wasn't there an author who actually made a doujin of his own work in order to try and stir up interest?
If Japan's copyright laws are anything like the rest of the world, not really, unless you can claim them as parody or under fair use, but I doubt you could defend that. Technically that's how it is anyways, considering I've never heard any studio or mangaka sue over it, and I doubt they want to piss off their fan base anyways. And to echo what OceanBlue said, many probably see it as a way to get their work more known.
Have I not told the story?
Long story short, there are people in the Pokemon Community thread that complained about lewd art being posted, and I stopped posting art there all together.
It's just weird to see other anime basically promoting doing this kind of thing by having one of their characters draw doujinshi based on an anime within the anime. I'm looking at you YuruYuri!
The thing about copyright law is that for there to be any action, the copyright holder has to bring the infringement case to court. And those anime studios/manga artists probably don't see any harm being done to warrant bringing anyone to court. It's just weird to see other anime basically promoting doing this kind of thing by having one of their characters draw doujinshi based on an anime within the anime. Especially when it's technically not legal as Chet just described here.
I'd say more, but I don't want to bog down this thread more about me.EDIT: Now I have.
But it's funny, so it gets a pass!

IIRC Japan has no parody exceptions. If Japan's copyright laws are anything like the rest of the world, not really, unless you can claim them as parody or under fair use, but I doubt you could defend that. That would make sense, though that said, I haven't heard any complaints about it.IIRC Japan has no parody exceptions.
The thought of K-ON! being featured on the Japanese Disney Channel just randomly jumped into my mind.It got me thinking that I would have loved to see a dream scenario, where Disney made a genuine effort to bring it across. I know that particular link was tenuous at best, but for them to at least have a hand in adapting some songs would have been cool. Because it's not like they don't have a track record for making ridiculously catchy tunes.Okay, I'm watching Disney songs on youtube.

The voice talent for the dub I think is there, it's just they don't use them to their best abilities. Now that I think about it, that would have been really interesting to see. Disney uses some great voice actors. You also have good taste in Disney tunes.
love the focus in this scene :>

I see the rumors of your death were greatly exaggerated.
And the whole part there reminds me of the time I was in Chicago one time and there was a group of Japanese school kids in the same hotel as me.

o-omg!
There was one of those horrifying 3D videos that did something like that.Do what the first youtube comment tells you to do and close your eyes.
Who do think posted that comment?
Hint: ends with Chet.
That's not me anyways.

Aw, jeez, hovering over the order button for the Rightstuf K-ON! deal.Because this worked out so well that last time.
But it should be, Chet. It should be!
Rightstuf is A-ok in my book, I see no reason not to order from them.
What I always aspired to be, a top comment on a youtube video!
He, who controls the top comment, controls society.
People who post 'top' youtube comments are genuinely the worst.
