So, I looked at the dub for K-ON, since I've only seen it it Japanese, and it's surprisingly really good! I like the casting choices.
Karen Strassman is really good as Sawamoto. Ritsu being Kyubey's voice actress and Mio being Homura's has been funny as well.

The complaints I've had for the dub have very little to do with the voices. The voices are topnotch, I couldn't think of anyone else doing their English voices. Hell, they even got Laura Bailey to do Nodoka's voice.
My major complaint about the dub for me is the script. It feels to wishy washy in terms of localization. At one point they're talking about how cool it is to have a "kohai" and how superior the Japanese language is, and another point they're talking, assuming US, dollar amounts. I've heard the dub of the movie drops the weeaboo phrases in the script, but I haven't seen it for myself yet.

I posted some other comics before where kyubey was the cat Azuna watched. There was a nice piece of art with it that was her as a magical girl I was ready to post, had it emedded and everything until I noticed that there was lewd stuff happening in the background.

yes, its been "time stretched", a sampling technique that alters the pitch while keeping the same tempo. if done badly the bass notes go all wobbly (as in that example)

i like Nodoka wearing seiyu live clothes picture, are there others in the same series that i'm guessing exists?

thanks, that picture reminds me how nervous Ayana looked during her solo song at the 1st concert - i felt nervous just watching her! Chika (Nodoka) by contrast looked at home on stage & has a surprisingly good voice, i read somewhere recently that she's a "proper" actress and that's why she does less seiyu work?

Yeah, Chika has an amazing voice, it's kinda weird that they got her to play such a minor role on the show, though I suppose her voice just really suits Nodoka's character. The only character it might have also fit would be maybe Mio, but Yoko is and even better fit and in my opinion the even better singer.
I haven't heard about Chika being an actress, but that would definitely explain her very short voice work list. I always thought that it was a shame she had so few work, but if she's getting work elsewhere, I guess that ain't so bad.

I found she looked pretty bored during her solo song in the "come with me!" show. Jun's VA was super excited to be there though.

That's probably why Ayana is a voice actor instead of a TV actress or whatever. She was probably really nervous then to, just tried to mask it but ended up looking indifferent.
Yoriko seems like the perfect fit for her character.

Yeah, that's probably a better way to put it, and I don't really blame her. There's a pretty big jump from being in a closed studio singing in front of a handful of people and can take as many takes as need be, to performing in front of a large audience live.

That's a shame, she has such a nice singing voice. I was poking around the JP iTunes the other day to see if I could find some music, found a few of her singles and one k-on album.
Mio's VA just released an album or single didn't she? I'd buy her music.

Google Translate tells me it's titled "Spring chicken chronicle of Hikasa Yoko, This is the blog of rookie voice actor Hikasa Yoko. Liked chickabiddy the day-to-day event." OK.

I remember Articalys posting a video of a single from her. I'll have to go digging, I think it was late in the last thread.
