I wonder why Azusa is in her school uniform while the other girls are not. This would be such a tease if it's Yui, Mio, Ritsu and Mugi coming to visit Azusa after their graduation.
Ritsu in particular looks older, so I think it is exactly that.

She just kinda looks... wiser? Her hair's shorter, and she has thicker eyebrows... I dunno. She just looks older to me.

Outside of the manga? None that I know of.
I'll give you that her eyebrows are thicker, it almost looks like they gave her Yui's eyebrows by mistake, but her hair looks normal to me.

I always thought the tie changed colour depending on the year they were in which is why Azusa always had red unlike the other girls, but I guess I just assumed that and never really paid attention because it never changes.

Yeah, the color is based on year. Green would be one year older than Yui and gang, which is what Megumi is in the manga and the first season, but then in the second season, they changed it to red, making her two years older than them. I always thought it made more sense originally.
