I personally watched the anime then the game. The anime follows the true route from the game and the game has endings for each character, but it all depends on what you want to do. I personally got into Steins;Gate through the anime so I had no issues going the other way especially when the game expands on what's already shown to you in the anime.

If anything, I'd say it's better to watch the anime first so you can't be dissapointed in anything in the anime for not going into enough detail.

Cool! Thanks for the input! At first, it was disappointing initially hearing the anime gives away the true ending. Although like you said, the game will further expand upon it and have tons of other endings.

I think maybe I will watch it next

Surely that's all part of the fun of moving! All of my stuff has been boxed since Uni and I've only ever unpacked what I use so I've never experienced this while moving.

Hi everyone! Despite being quiet the last day or two, I have arrived in Las Vegas in one piece. This is the first I've really had a chance to relax all day, aside from the plane ride. Going to go pick up my badge in a few minutes, then grab some food with one of the roommates. Then sleep...which I am rather short of at the moment. It's only 2 more months or so, just wait for it. I watched the anime first and the 60% of the game became a bit unbearable. It is like reading a cheating guide with plot spoiler, you already know what's going to happen on most of the decisions.

It is a great game, don't make the same mistake as many of us if you already decided to play the game.

Think about it this way, the anime will still be a good watch after playing the game since it was a great adaption. Reading something you already know can be quite tedious, to make it worst, you can't even skip the dialog/events you already know since the game include some plot element or detail that got cut off in the anime.

Steins;gate is something you have to read/watch twice to truly appreciate the story. So you might as well save the shorter/easier one for the rerun.
