Well... Most anime doesn't exactly have realistically sized eyes and such. Key stuff is a bit extreme though.

2002 is by another company and I've not seen it. I've seen other Key animes with only 12 episodes and they don't work as well.

Edit: No Sugita in 2002 either. And the art is arguably less good.
