Anyone know the story behind the chosen numbers. I remember Taeyeon chose 9 because of the nine members of the group, but what about the others...?

I think Sica wanted 22 cause she was 22 at the time. And a few girls wanted 7 but they decided to give it to Yoong, lol. Not sure about the others.

Taeyeon chose 9 as it is the number of SNSD,
Sooyoung chose 24 as she wants to be with the fans 24/7,
Seohyun chose 11 to be number one in everything,
Tiffany chose 01, but while printing, an error occurred, leaving out the 1, and giving her the nickname “Team’s Hole” with the number 0.
Jessica is turning 22 this year, so she chose the number 22,
Yuri chose 21, as it was her age at that time,
Hyoyeon had no special meaning, but just as her favorite number 32,
Sunny chose 12, putting her two favorite numbers, 1 and 2 together,
and lastly, Yoona chose 7 as it is the lucky number.

SM wouldn't allow anyone to have 1, so they tried variations of 1. Fany getting blackholed.

Sooyoung's 24 is the age she wants to get married. Sooyoung fans have about 2 years to step up their game.

How about these numbers? Anyone have an idea about their meaning? If you get the SNSD hoodies like some of the guys who wore them to the Letterman show, you get those printed on the front depending on which of the girl's version you chose.

I think she had a kind of mud wrestle/scramble with Hyori to get on top of a hay bale.

During yesterday evening’s episode of ‘K-Pop Star‘, Baek Ah Yeon performed a slow, piano rendition of Big Bang‘s hit track “Haru Haru”. During critique, judge J.Y. Park criticized the contestant for constantly grimacing as she sang.

Since the broadcast, various netizens have called J.Y. Park out for this comment, claiming that he was being a hypocrite because he did the exact same thing while he sang.

Today, J.Y. Park explained himself through a post on Twitter, saying, “I think I should’ve done my judging on yesterday’s ‘Kpop Star’ with more detail. If you all look closely, you can tell between someone who is making a grimacing facial expression because he or she is feeling the music, and someone who is making those faces because he or she cannot properly vocalize the song.”

He continued, “It’s different for every person, so you can’t generalize it. However, with Ah Yeon yesterday, she couldn’t vocalize properly about three times, and this caused her mouth and face to cringe towards the right side. In other parts of the song, she did not move her mouth to the left while making grimacing facial expressions. If you can read this, it will help a lot in singing.”

JYP has a very particular taste and judges all contestants quite narrowly on their vocal affectations. Almost like he wants to remove any personal style they've got going. I must say for someone so picky the vocals on 2PM recordings are the worst I've heard from a major k-pop group.


Ji Sook from the girl group Rainbow revealed the truth about dating someone who is now a part of a popular idol group. Ji Sook appeared on the episode of SBS “Strong Heart” that will broadcast on February 14. She stated, “My ex-boyfriend from my trainee days is now a member of a popular idol group.”

Then she added, “My boyfriend at the time gave me a lot of help while I was a trainee and I am thankful for that. Currently we are good friends.”

The MC Lee Seung Gi said, “Is there more than 5 people in the group?” and Ji Sook replied, “The group is either made up of five, or less.”

Rainbow as a whole will be appearing on SBS MTV’s upcoming music live talk show. The first recording will be held on February 14 and the first episode will be held on February 29.

JYP is my favorite judge in that show. he's very critical about the contestants, and doesn't mince words. he's right about that girl; she was scrunching her face on every single high note.
