Most big fans would probably say the manga, but I was in the same boat as you and just went with the anime. From what I hear it's pretty much a faithful recreation so far.

I've read the manga and watched the anime, I definitely like the anime more at the moment, the fights are much better animated than drawn imo.

Anime is fine, I have no desire to read the manga. Show can be pretty slow during the middle parts, just beware. I actually stopped watching it when there was a recap episode a few months back, but caught up last weekend. Final episode is this week and there's more manga left after that.

Go and listen to their "Color Your Soul" album. It is without a doubt the best work they've put out imo.

Also the album that introduced them to me back when Kim Sam Soon was airing in like 2005 (A few songs were used in the OST for the drama), incidentally that's still one of the best romance/comedy Kdramas imo.

SNSD are basically just kpop training wheels. They get you started, but if you're still on them after a year or two it's pretty embarrassing.

I believe vanty's quote was the inspiration for OT2, where 'SNSD' was dropped from the OT title and it said we were 'taking off the training wheels'. And hey, it's 2 years later. Uh oh.

I totally wasn't planning on actually digging up historical relics like the title inspiration for OT2 and the genesis of *DNROG (Do Not Repost On GAF), which was basically a warning for things that would be dangerous to post on GAF that were shared by our members in off-site places.

Not as much action on the other 9/26s of our history. I think the OG 'Shame Thread'/OTZero from 2010 was closed for a little while because of all the creepy pictures, but it opened up again after a while. And then was completely shut down for similar reasons. I may have been a contributor to that.

Other 'non-OT' K-Pop threads have come and gone, and we often make fun of them or ignore them as required. In fact, when the original 'Shame Thread' in 2010 was going on, there was an official K-Pop thread that didn't endure very long. On this day last year, though, a different kind of K-Pop thread emerged. Basically, user's dad was SUPER MAD at the user's mom for supposedly having a K-Pop idol boyfriend. I actually forgot about this until just now, and that was a year ago today. Not too much to do with *our* thread/community, but an interesting aside.
