Eminem, for example, has used faggot in an innumerable amount of his songs but that does not make it alright for him to use it. It's just disconcerting to hear people, particularly Netizens, defend their bias with a plea to ignorance. That only works once and if anything, the idol or his company should take measures to apologize for that ignorance rather than attempt to rationalize the songwriting.
