enzo_gt said:The Joy is alright but, at the moment I'm kinda feeling all the upbeat songs a lot more. Slow, mellow tracks are only listenable when I'm in a chilled out, mellow mood. :lol

Well, Kick Push was a hit, and Daydreaming played on MTV a lot (at least in Europe). If he's not earning the label some money, the label is doing it wrong.Ashhong said:His label made him make some more radio friendly songs so that he can actually earn them some money. His talent is still there.

Ashhong said:Kick Push did alright, but other then that he barely made a splash on the radio in the US, except maybe a little Superstar. As a huge fan, I can say that his music is not radio friendly at all, especially with the current state of mainstream. His sound/beats just isnt whats in. Pretty sure The Cool sold like crap, not sure how much you can blame on the label.
That being said, I like the new single, but wish he dropped Atlantic and went to Def Jam/GOOD Music.

Lasers has a confirmed release date now. I think it's in MarchEpcott said:I hope there's a way to listen to LASERS now that it's in limbo. Part of me would have really loved to listen to it in it's pre-Atlantic meddling state (while the other part of me didn't care for The Cool as much as I did Food & Liquor, so I was semi-skeptical). If F&F is under Atlantic... can he move them as well after the contract?
I'm diggin The Joy. I can't wait to hear the Madlib and Q-tip tracks. I wonder if those are on Watch the Throne?

Bowser said:I think what he's talking about is the Lasers that Lupe handed into Atlantic last February. It's obvious now that that Lasers isn't what we're getting in March, but a retooled Lasers with more radio-friendly "hits."
spindashing said:It's a bit too early to come to that conclusion, but I understand where you're coming from.

Bowser said:Yeah, you're right. What I should have said is "it's obvious now that we won't be getting the original Lasers that Lupe already turned into Atlantic;" if we were, there's no reason to hold it until March.
DO NOT WANT ON BOTH ENDS. Ross was great on Monster, and it should stay at that.Oozer3993 said:Two rumors going around:
* Devil in a New Dress features Rick Ross (it's listed that way on the German version of Amazon)
* The final version of Lost in the World has different drums. There's even a snippet.
Seriously, The Show Goes On is fucking awesome. Take that, rest of GAF-Hop.valeo said:What the fuck happened to Lupe?

how did the cool sell like crap? dude went gold. superstar was a pretty decent sized single.
def jam is a garbage label. if lupe breaks free from his current label, he needs to go independent. with the internet the way it is now, he doesn't need a major label to be successful.
...This is bizarro land. :lolSebulon3k said:It was a great 8 lines from Ross, not even I can hate :lol
