I love the dark agressive slant on this album, these live videos alone shit on all of born sinner for me, i can't even name you a memorable track off that album. I'd take the two snl performances we've had for yeezus over that album.
Yeezus sounds like it's gonna be great to dance to looking at onsite.

Born sinner has a completely different vibe to it, they shouldn't even be compared lol

That doesn't make sense, they are both hip hop albums and I can compare their overall quality however much I want even if the sounds are different. We do that all the time when we make lists of the best albums, ranking albums with completely different vibes. From the live songs we've heard alone I have enjoyed them more than all of Born sinner, and there's nothing wrong with that (that album is not bad, it's decent/ok, just not memorable, yeezus is on another level so far).

I'm mistaken is saying they shouldn't be compared, I suppose I personally don't put the two projects on the same level to be compared

This album is going to be real divisive for sure, personally I'm really loving the dark electronic trap music he's got going with the songs shown so far.

i also love the dark aesthetic but the only song that really hyped me up on first listen is black skinhead. that song goooooeeeeesssss. but since its a kanye release im going to get it regardless, and maybe it will grow on time.

is "onsite" the daft punk produced song? it just has to be.

One day I will see Kanye live :( Yeah I'm thinking onsite is the other daft punk song too, would be shocked if it isn't.

Just listened to the posted video of black skinheads. Man it loses so much in the YouTube recording. You cant tell how different it was from the SNL version. I'm telling you, the bass is fucking insane.

It actually sounds less rock and more hip hop, the subs were going CRAZY.

Having heard many Yeezus songs live now, which one is your favourite?

Shit is sounding raw. I'm ready.

Yeah sounds like it's all pretty hard with very little in the way of ballads or gushy songs about his mom or his women or being broke or being a failure or whatever. Not sure how I feel about this. Although I will say I absolutely love New Slaves. The beat has the ominous bass of that old Snoop song 187 of the Undercover Cop.

Ok. Now that is fucking AWESOME.

I love how completely noizy that sounds with the alarms/horns or whatever it's supposed to be. Fuckin' hell. Wow.

That sample in the beginning that says "hahaha you lasss..." is the dancehall artist Beenie Man. I recognize the sample. I don't know if he's in the song or what, but wow, I recognized him quick. Like that a lot.

Liking these new set of clips from the weekend.

Vine SUCKS so bad, I am tempted to say it is more harmful to have heard a Vine clip of a song than to have not heard it at all. It's not long enough to get any sense of what the song sounds like. What a fucking awful idea. A 15 second animated gif with audio set to loop, in portrait mode. Ugh.

I'm more excited for this Yeezus than E3 or WWDC to be honest. I like that the announcement came out of nowhere and the wait time from the announcement to release is short, no bullshit waiting or drawn out marketing plan.

DP was at the listening session last night (the one in the tent after the show) and CuDi was not on any of the songs. EDIT2: Or not? Mark Wahlberg on KTT says CuDi has a verse and Don Jazzy or D'Banj are definitely on the song recorded outside the tent. For people who are doubting if he's legit or not, check the OP for how much shit he got right about Yeezus when he listened to it earlier. Maybe it's been removed in the latest version though.

Kanye in legal trouble over On Site sample and possibly bringing in Rick Rubin to lay down some final records? This kinda confusing given how it was all mixed and mastered, but does fit into rumours earlier of Kanye scrambling to add radio-friendly songs to the album (which again contradicts the no promo/no radio/no single ethos). I guess radio-friendly songs they know will be picked up by radio even if they don't put them out as a single.

EDIT:
So, are these the best quality videos we have for the respective songs or what?

I Am A God - http://youtu.be/5RDdsWm3uRU
Onsite - http://youtu.be/TtGXW3kqdnM
Black Skinhead - http://youtu.be/4v0XWYKvkX8
New Slaves - http://youtu.be/Tr6t5heUOaY
Send It Up - http://youtu.be/uiHA0bXzMrI

Just want to know so I can add to OP.

Listened to the first four already, but I think I'll wait on Send It Up. At this point I've heard enough, I'm REALLY digging this dark, electronic vibe Ye's going with this time. The music almost sounds like a soundtrack to some grim, future, cyberpunk setting.

I like it for that reason, and love the obnoxious bleeps and bloops and horns and squeals and swoops and filth.
