Another Pitchfork writer, saying it's amazing
"Before Kanye, the last person to have a six-album run this dazzling was ... Prince?"
"Yeezus isn't formally perfect. But it will take another five to ten years for anyone else to even begin to catch up him after this. Again."
"Another thought: This is Ye's most purposeful, and pointed, use of guests ever."
forreal. I was hoping Keef would go future on us for this song and he did it.
Man, can you imagine Chieef Keef's version of 808s? Beautiful.
they pirate albums too?
I think El-P nailed it when he said it only sounds interesting if it doesn't sound familiar. And this is marginally unfamiliar because it's Kanye.I agree it's too much cutting but imo dark fantasy was too much bloat. Hopefully on the next album its perfectly balanced.

oh man. give him a few years to learn english and he'll hopefully do it.
fixed
That's true. I give him props for trying.true. you can't ignore the mans talent he takes what isn't necessarily new and adds his own flair to it which makes it sound effectively different/new.

I mean, I don't condone and will buy the album, but can you resist sneaking a peak at the presents before christmas?
I can't take this seriously because of the "I'm On It >> BotL" tweet
I'm In It definitely grows on you. BotL is there from the beginning.I can't take this seriously because of the "I'm In It >> BotL" tweet

the beat at the end sounds pretty great, i wish it made it onto the track. though then again it doesn't really sound that "kanye" and probably would have been out of place on the album. still would have been awesome though.here's the original version. the sample was much longer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Axvsgqh19PE
he's saying that the lead up from im in it to botl is godly...look at his next tweet for a reference/clarification. its a bit confusing

Pitchfork is the WOAT review site tbh.
Just curious, which site do you think is the best?
My own opinions
O RLY? do you have a blog I can possibly read?
"When he first played it for me, it was a more middle of the road R&B song, done in an adult contemporary style. Kanye had the idea of combining that track with a cool sample he had found and liked I removed all of the R&B elements leaving only a single note baseline in the hook which we processed to have a punk edge in the Suicide tradition."

Hold My Liquor, I Am A God, and Bound 2 are just not growing on me. Black Skinhead and New Slaves are just trying too hard. I don't think they are ever going to click. But On Sight and the second half of the album (6-9) is holding up pretty well. So about half the tracks total. I'll probably turn in later tonight with the album on and see if anything changed between then and now.
