First time hearing it today and thought it was really bad. Hated how the autotune/vocoder in the outro of New Slaves completely spoils the soulful moment I adored when I first heard the song (maybe it did already have it but I couldn't hear it because it wasn't CDQ). Bound 2 sounds rushed. The album didn't instantly click to me like MBDTF.
After second, third listen through I began accepting and enjoying the above tracks. Love Blood on the Leaves and Bound 2 too. Still not feelin' the other tracks. Will give it a few more listens.
Bound 2 is still my fav its almost like a positive end to the sad album. Kind of like what gorillaz did with the demon days track on the Demon Days LP
Edit:yea it is a tease to people wanting a college dropout 2 lol
Bound 2 sounds like a big fuck you/shout out to all the people who wanted college dropout 2. Love it
Its funny for me though, because I used to be one of those people that wanted Ye to return to his College Dropout sound at one point. I mean the odd song or two isn't bad, like "See Me Now" or "White Dress" from The Man With The Iron Fists, but I'm not liking Bound 2 that much.
It's almost like a regression. Now that I've seen this new sound from him, I don't want the old Ye at all, give me 20 more "I Am A God" and "New Slaves" if you have them. TCD was good music for the time it came out in and is still good today. But this is a new era, new sounds, new influences, different point of career/life, etc. "Two Words" still goes hard as hell to me and probably in my top 3 Ye songs, that track was so raw the first time I heard it.
I'm really starting to love Guilt Trip.
yeah I hear that too, I was really confused until I realizedIs it just me or does Kanye say sports bar rather than sports bra?
Anyway, enjoying this album quite a bit even though it feels slightly rushed and I could do with less guest vocals and autotuning.
I'm starting to enjoy all songs.
When I hear this album I don't think of it as rushed. Regardless of how long it took to make it.

"Yeezus is a pornographic, self-indulgent, self-parodying, incisive, funny, sickening, and (yes) brilliant unpacking of West's pre-fatherhood self. The most singular and stunning entry yet in the most singular and stunning discography for any pop artist in the 21st century it's not even close, really Yeezus amounts to a no-holds-barred accounting of who Kanye West must now protect his family from: Kanye West. It took months for him to make; it may take a lifetime for him to live down."
In a nutshell.

I'm not breaking the seal on mine. Gonna keep it on unless they come out with authentic Yeezus grip tape.Just picked it up. How could I possibly break that seal? D:
Just quoting this in case people didn't see it!I just finished remixing Black Skinhead to include the "Wolf of Wall Street" parts. It now is much closer to the SNL version production wise. Screams at the start, drums through the start of the build up, and a riser during the build up too. I also adjusted the screams in the chorus to sound more "full", as I felt the album versions were lacking.
This was kind of just a personal project, not intended to replace the original. I've never done this sort of thing before, so it mightn't be that good. I think it came out ok though!
