I remember playing Stargate and thought it was pretty cool but hard as hell. Need to revisit.
I'm still kicking myself till this day, the video store I used to rent games from closed or the lady that owned it moved abroad and they were selling everything, I bought some of the MegaDrive games for next to nothing and I passed on Stargate, but it was mostly because I remember how difficult it was.

Yeah, it was forced in. But like I said, I don't see any problem with optional stuff like shit, this adds more role playing choices into a role playing game (even if it retcons some things about the first game). I think Vavra was smart with what he did.

In Mass Effect my character had gay romance with Liara in most of my playthroughs, hahaha.
If I'm playing as a hero from a character creator then I don't mind having various options. I'll pick what I like and avoid what I don't.

It's a problem if it's an established character who was completely heterosexual in the first game and didn't even have time to change his preferences or develop some new feelings. A choice was made for KCD1 and they should've stayed with it.

Nobody to blame but the devs.

1. Having a game with relationships or marrying each other creates this kind of issue. Then it’s up to the game maker to do lbtq stuff or not

2. Forcefully adding in lbgt content

They wouldnt need to worry about this if the game didn’t have this kind of sexual stuff in it to begin with.

Most games don’t. Even if you only look at RPGs, most don’t either.
I even heard that they forcefully added multiple men into the game 😲

Jesus F. Christ you are a moron. Warhorse is hiring based on competency. Czechland is not California.
The most busty character model in the game was modeled by a woman btw.

As is this one

DEI OH NO

I know it's a game but that is a nice booty! Definitely not a flatty!

and they should've stayed with it.

Why? What does it matter? They didn't stay with it. They changed their mind added it to the game and still sold millions and are being praised and possibly getting a GOTY nominee at the very least I would assume. No harm was done other than some people whining and bitching online which was going to happen no matter what. As we saw with their last game.

I fucking hate this environment of fear placed on devs to have to pander to people just to avoid controversy. It's your game, make it how you want and FUCK what anyone else thinks. Never bow down to other people's politics, and never apologize for sticking to what you believe in.

The problem now is there are too many parties involved. Every party has requirements. You basically need to sell out to publish your damn game. Unless you are a one person developer who is self publishing, someone is going to tell you that you need to make these changes or else.

While I do think you should do want you want as a developer. I do think people on both sides of the extremes are cancer.

People calling the director racist is fucked up.....BUT I also think crucifying a game because of an optional gay moment and a black character being the game is also cancer....and just plain silly.

I've started to notice this alot on this forum. Where I do think there are sensible criticisms that we can agree on.

But people saying if your from x group your opinion shouldn't matter, or how blaming developers gender for why the game is what it is , when women only make up a small miniscule percentage of the people who work there?

Heck I remember a post of one person called the colors in Avowed was bisexual lighting because they had colors of purple in the RPG......🤣

Like I get It and I understand why people are angry. But the people who are raging about these things don't realize they are becoming just like the woke people they complain about just on the other extreme.

This is just more proof that they are forcing it on the industry as a whole, and people are not wrong for calling this shit out.
So now we are taking a misquote as "proof" of something. Read beyond the headline, as it is missing important context.
This gaffer pointed it out.
This thread is misleading. He says, and I quote:

"Maybe we avoided being called sexist this time because we have the guys there" (meaning the same sex optional relationship)

He is not saying that was the specific reason they decided to put it there. Also, this is a comedy show. The host then follows up with "but that's not enough these days, you are missing they/thems/its".

Also, could you define they? "They" are always up to no good and I want to be able to recognize them when I see them?

Think it’s more like, the greater majority shouldn’t compromise for the insignificant minority. Within reason of course, a civil society takes care of it’s disadvantaged, but majority rules stands.
I don't necessarily disagree, I just was pushing back against the idea that we shouldn't "care" about an individual or people group due to the fact that they make up a small percentage of the population. Even in the majority, there are ways in which each individual can be separated into some small subsets of the population.

Edit: sorry for the double post, I must have some restriction that doesn't allow me to edit a post twice.
