However, if it were for Iran or N.Korea. If America was ever threatened by an enemy or attacked, with proof positive. There would be no need to draft me, Id be signing up the first day. Nobody fucks with America, not while I live here.

The draft eligibilty starts at 18, ends at 25. However, they start picking the 20 year olds first, and if they don't fill the ranks, then the 21s and so up to 25. Then they pick the 19 year olds, then the 18s, and if they are still screwed on numbers, they will probably just go up. But that would have to be on hell of a war.

What the hell are you talking about? If America every came under attack or threat by Iran or NK you better kiss the feet of those "suckers" that are in the military protecting your country. Think what ever you want about Iraq and "terrorism" but a war with the other countries might be a totally different thing.

Just so everyone is aware, the issue of The Draft is brought up a few time EVER year and nothing ever comes of it.

I wouldn't worry about N Korea either. Even if they do have a nuke, they don't have a rocket that'd get the warhead here. It'd barely make it to S Korea.

And if Iran builds nukes it's to protect themself from Israel (who has 200). I sure as hell won't fight and die for Israel.

Actually I agree with you, I dont blame anyone who wouldnt want to fight for another country not your own. Ive never really understood the idea of America needing to play big brother to the rest of the world unless it was something really serious. It just creates more enemies for us.

Yes, North Korea has rockets that can currently hit Hawaii (you know, the Pacific Fleets Headquarters), and Alaska, not to mention the entirety of East Asia. They are said to have another rocket that ready to be tested that will probably be able to hit the west coast.

Huge difference. Japan had the ability but we didn't believe they had the motivation. N. Korea has the motivation but we don't believe they have the ability. Because we didn't believe Japan had the motivation, we didn't have a fleet parked off their coast monitoring their developments (which is how we lost their fleet at sea). We assume that RNK has the motivation which is why there is a carrier battlegroup in the region to deliver munitions should they demonstrate some ability (and hopefully we'll wait until they show some explicity desire) to attack us.
