People still do mod chips? I softmodded mine. There's nothing to it: you just slap a TIFF file onto a Newman's Own special blend pod and hit the brew button then wait five minutes.

You need the 1.0 version of the k-cup, though. They patched the exploit out on the sly sometime around July of last year. You can find unpatched pods on eBay if you know what you're looking for, but you'll have to pay a premium. Still cheaper than a hardware mod.

I've never bought the cups I just put coffee in the refillable cup thing.

Then why have a Keurig at all? The whole appeal is their k-cups and flavors.

If you want the convenience of single serve (no measurements, etc.) with your own coffee, I can understand that. But Keurig is the worst possible option for that.

Or they'll just buy one of the many keurig clones that are out there. This'll just be vue.2 where no one will buy it. What a terrible idea for the company to do.
