Thinking about putting together a custom soundtrack that fits the MP action...did it with Lost Planet too (yeah I know, not same caliber, but it was one of those MP games that could lead to some really epic battles).

I just hope the XMB custom soundtrack option is implemented in a way that it doesnt drown out the sound.

KillZone 2 looks to be the runaway favorite for GOTY honors 2009 IMO.

Something REALLY special is going to have to show up to top this monster.

Strict shooters typically seem to have a hard time cracking GOTY these days.
From what I would guess, a result of shooter market saturation overshadowing uniqueness between shooters... certainly looks like it will make its case, and I'm sure it will garner a few GOTY selections at worst.

I'd say February being a bit premature.

Just got back from Gamestop and I was now told that the demo will be available to install tomorrow but will not be playable until Friday. Anyone else heard this?

That doesn't sound right.....It's not like it needs servers since it's supposedly SP.

Makes no sense. Its a single player online demo, so there wouldnt be a point to doing something like that.

How much longer till EU store updates? I've got NA demo codes, but im sure EU will be up first.

That makes no sense. It's a single player demo and shouldn't require anything but an install to play.

There's no way that's true, and even if it somehow made sense, just create an EU account and download it from the EU Store tomorrow.

As far as MP, does anyone know how many human players in total have to be on the server for you to be able to get EXP and go up ranks? Is it just one other human but you, or more? I've heard that no fewer than three humans have to be playing. I think it should be more, personally. It's gonna be too easy for a couple friends to exploit the system and level up quickly.

*edit it's on youtube, it's one of the gameplay videos, it should be around 8 minutes or something.

You can download the demo from the EU Store
The super nice Gamestop guy says that demo can be played as soon as you install it
 
Tom Chick is a hell of a lot more interesting than anyone in this thread. The fact that he doesn't like the game doesn't change that.

Also, I love how the Sony site guy gave the controls a 5/10, but the game a 9/10. What a fucking coward.

This is still my most anticipated game of the year, but what a bunch of whiny shills.

the gamestop demo is for people who pre ordered

but the EU PSN store is gonna have the demo up tomorrow(or late today..in the US, still don't know when lol)

so yes and no

u can just get the demo on the EU store, make an EU account
