Why do the Killzone fans have to be the enemies? They have every right to pick at every review they wish, some of the writing and nitpicks in them are worth mentioning to some. So let them.

You have a right to say they are incorrect if you wish as well.

Your wrong if you think this is only the problem of one side and not both. If in reality it is even a problem at all seeing as it is just a discussion.

I wouldn't worry. The vast majority of people who are gonna be playing the final release will never have touched the Beta. The Beta was around 16,000 people I think and only a few thousand played A LOT. You'll be covered with slippery green n00bs come release, no worries.

Plus, if I suck with the other weapons while I was still playing the Beta, imagine how much I'm gonna suck after not playing for almost 3 months. I have a reputation to keep you know... *starts to panic*

Bullshit. An outright lie.

A few pages back, I posted a link to a review from PC World where the reviewer absolutely trashed the campaign and story, and even Brian Cox's stirring intro speech performance as Scolar Visari (even though he said the AI and multiplayer was still good enough to warrant a 90% total score in the end.) and I don't think a single person in this thread dwelled on those harsh criticisms at all, so your idea that "the guys with the Killzone avatars going apeshit over any Killzone information that's not glowingly positive" is just nonsense.

Most people in this thread can accept negative opinions, even clearly subjective ones like those in the PCW review which many disagree with, as long as the review seems fair, and is well-written like that review.

Some people need to stop their judgmental condemnations of Gaffers with "Killzone avatars" and all that other prejudicial crap, and just chill. You can't put every Gaffer into a neat little box and call all people excited for Killzone nuts. That makes you sound like a bigger windbag that these "Killzone avatar" people, and I doubt that's how anyone wants to be seen here.

Some of us DID play the beta, Dave, so don't think that all of us with Killzone avatars are excited for no reason.

I don't see any evidence that the code has gotten any worse, only that improvements have been made...so yeah, we're excited.

The killjoys need to get a hobby.
 
Guys I got the Demo card. But whenever I enter the code it says its been redemeed or not valid. Do I have to enter it after the 5th?
Also did u guys know that whoever has the code it can be charged with 4 other accounts?

This is a potentially legitimate complaint, depending on how it manifests. UT3 launched with a similar issue and there was a HUGE uproar about it in the community. Think about it. If your eyesight is not at eye level then it becomes difficult to tell when you are actually concealed. From your vantage point you may be hiding behind a wall, but from the outside your head may be sticking over it. This is pretty important to MP so I'd be curious to see exactly how this presents itself.
- you can shoot helmets off the Helghast but they don't chase them and try and put them back on.

These are mostly dumb too, but I can see the reasoning behind them if your looking for something strictly logical.

But that's not the point anyway. If people feel that a complaint is stupid or nitpicky, then they shouldn't let it bother them, as they presumably will ultimately not end up caring about it. I don't know why people get in such a fuss over what bothers others about a game. If a game gets a review that you feel is unjust, send a polite letter to the author explaining what he should reconsider in his review instead of ranting and raving about it on a message board in some obscure corner of the internet. By being calm and professional about what you disagree with, you're far more likely to garner a favorable response, and in the process you avoid coming across like a toddler who just had his ice cream taken away. Seems like a win-win, to me.

You can share your account that has the demo. The code itself cant be shared.
 
I really hope everyone gets all their bitching about reviews/bitching about people bitching about reviews done in here so that the official thread can be full of awesomeness. This thread has gone downhill...

It always does this if you enter the code before the demo is live.

It's a good thing Sony gave a greenlight for the reviews nearly a month in advance. People should be done complaining by the time it's actually released.
 
The demo is going up with the PSN update I thought. That usually comes out 5-6 pm est, when does the UK update usually come out.

Nope, only time was with Uncharted, but that was because Naughty Dog didn't remove a snippet of code that defined the region of console (Uncharted at the time actually would configure itself based on the region of your console to set the localization for you) and because they wanted to keep the demo filesize small, the other localizations were obviously not part of the demo. Of course Chris Balestra and friends at ND quickly fixed this issue post-haste.

Oh and fun fact, the trophy patch actually changes the localization rule, and now that is based on the game disc rather than the console.

Right so each account that redeems a code can be shared to five others. Once you redeem the code, it cant be used again. Only the account that has the demo.

Some folks paratrooping into this thread seem to think that gaming reviews have some kind of special immunity from being critiqued themselves. Especially if they're from a respectable website or noted freelancer?

Um, I'm pretty sure that's not case, even outside this medium. Yes, really! It happens in all sorts of venues. Readers complaining to critics about their internal logic, double standards, cognitive dissonance, what have you... the critics sniveling at the ignorant rabble for questioning their judgment. Its a long and storied tradition. :p
