Killzone 2 still for PS2? (KZ3 for PS3)

I HIGHLY doubt that...

Why would they waste their time on another PS2 game when the PS3 launch is drawing so close? IF there had been a PS2 game in the works, wouldn't it have shown up at E3 in some form?

I seriously hope they do not attempt another PS2 title. The original game was held back by SEVERE technical problems.

Yeah i was thinking the same, because looking at the release dates for these PS3 games. SCEE have killzone ps3 down for a 2nd quarter 2006 release.
 
Perhaps KZ2 has been bumped to the PS3 and that's the Killzone we'll be getting first?

Interesting enough, that artist's website had 21 pieces of concept art for Killzone 3 but within the last 30 minutes they've all been removed. Good thing I saved them all :)
 
If there's a Playstation Experience this year then that's where KZ2 on the PS2 would show up. If it's not there then it's probably been moved to the PS3 instead which would be the smartest move.

Would that CG be possible to be done on PS2 hardware? If so, maybe that was an intro scene to KZ2 on PS2. Oh boy, here we go.... :lol

When you say, "would that CG be possible"...what on earth are you referring to? Could it play back that video? Obviously, as the PS2 offers the best video playback capabilities between the current systems. Odd question...

The demo itself was clearly a demonstration created for the PS3 conference and would not be an intro movie. The movies in the original KZ were quite different as well.
 
I think they just want to mess with all of our minds... Toy with our emotions... How am I supposed to wait untill second quarter of 06'? I Want my PS3 now.... :-(
 
When the PS3 Killzone was revealed, weren't some sites hinting that it wasn't Killzone "2?" I have to head to work, so I really can't look around.

Maybe they plan on squeezing out another one of these puppies before the PS3 launch.
 
There is no way they're going to release Killzone 2 on PS2 after showing the E3 video.

On the topic of Killzone, it's a very cool game. I just played the demo the other day and I'm going to look for a copy somewhere (hopefully new) with a cheaper price.
 
even on the showreel, it was just 'killzone'.

If they want to squeeze out a KZ2 on PS2, then it better be this Christmas. And it means no KZ3 on PS3 until at least Christmas 2006.

I hope they have people working on it in parallel.

Xavier Marquis, the artist, seems to of edited his original posts on the site too since his September 4th, 2004 entry mentioned how he was now doing conceptual work for Killzone 2 and the Killzone "Universe" but now it just reads "September :°) Officialy Shellshock is released and definitely finished. Now I'm working as concept designer for Guerrilla."

Same thing goes for his May 2nd, 2005 post which stated how he was main focus was on the Killzone "Universe" but now it just "For the moment I have nothing of personal in production cause I'm focused on the concept design.
 
I seriously doubt that Killzone 2 is still coming to PS2. SCEE more than likely killed it off and put the entire Guerrilla team working on Killzone PS3.
 
haha, it seems the Guerrilla artist is in deep shit for posting them. :lol


Sony are on the rampage, expect an email from Sony Ram, asking you to remove them from your site. :lol

I wish the best of luck to guerilla, since the final game has to look like the render or they'll get a lot of flak.

Why? Guerilla aren't the ones making claims about that demo. :rolleyes: PEACE.

The final game will look better than that "render". ;p
