Oh god @ Tim trying to stay positive at the end of his Fire Emblem Direct video but being obviously chrushed by AndroidFirst was a little bit hilarious. A little bit of humble pie for the Apple crowd outthere can't be that bad once in a while... 8)

*desperately wants to play SMR*

Plus it was revealed about ten minutes after the direct that iOS will get it at the same time lol. The Direct was wrong.

Newest Colin Was Right is on point.

Didn't mean to open a can of worms yesterday on the morning show. I understand Greg's point totally. I still think it's neat and I appreciate the effort Capcom put into it.

Super Mario Run is coming to Android in March.

It makes me sad that Colin seems to be letting negativity consume him on twitter. I remember a year ago when he was talking about not responding to the haters and being happier for it.

On another note, I didn't realize until recently how many fellow Kinda Funny fans are Trump supporters

Did Kinda Funny ever announce who their new producer/editor hire is? I remember Greg saying they were still negotiating the hiring details at the beginning of the year but that they definitely knew who they wanted.

Sort of curious to see if it'll be Mary Kish from Gamespot, who just left there last week. They've worked together on the E3 stage two years in a row now and she's more of a behind the camera person, so it wouldn't be the craziest thing to see happen.

In the nicest way possible, she could surely do better, and Kinda Funny could surely get someone in on less money. Have they taken on any interns yet?

I don't disagree with you at all. Just thought the timing sort of worked based on Greg saying they were close to a deal a few weeks ago.

They haven't taken on any interns that we know of yet, but I believe they're looking to hire a full time editor/producer to take some of the load off of Kevin who produces 1-2 hours of live content every day and edits a fair amount of video every week as well.

I doubt it will be her. Though, despite her never really appearing in Kinda Funny content (mostly the KFxGS E3 stuff), she does seem friendly with them as she was one of the guests at their Studio party (All Patrons at the $1 level or above can see a video of that party). Plus, at GameSpot she was a video producer. Editing, while in the realm of video, is not at the level of video producer.

Kudos to the guys for this week's RE7 discussion. It's how game discussions should be.

They all played it, they all played it a significant amount, and they actually had a discussion rather than an individual person's impression. More of that would be nice.

Watched some of it then stopped because of fear that Greg would spoil minor details for me that I would like to experience myself. He has done that for me before. So I'll finish the video after completing the game. It's interesting about VR where Colin didn't use it and Greg did it for half the game. I feel their opinion about VR is starting to shift without saying it out loud. I haven't used my PSVR in a month but that due to me being busy. But it is a little cumbersome to set up and use instead of just laying down and use regular tv.

Their complains about Graphics are inconsistent with their thoughts about the pro. They either don't care about graphics or they do and need to get the pro.

Also a surprisingly good Switch talk this week, with actual discussion and not just monologues. It's very nice when they do that.

Yeah. I got PSVR at launch and hadn't used it since until a few days ago where I booted it up for some EVE Valkyrie. I think people are slowly beginning to realize that current VR tech isn't where it needs to be. It's antithetical to the type of games core gamers enjoy, as it isn't suited to extended play sessions, more to small sessions. That reality pairs horribly with the hardware itself being cumbersome and annoying to set up. And even if you can get past that, the software just isn't there at this point and Sony has shown no capability of supporting non-mainline consoles.

I don't think failing to get a Pro means you forever lose the right to dislike poor graphics. You could use the same argument and say if they got a Pro and complained about graphics, they have no right to do so because they ignore premium PCs.

Good point. I just remember them saying that graphics doesn't affect their enjoyment of games but in RE7 instance the beginning of the game was so jarring to them that it took them out of the experience.

In last week ColinWasRight, Colin reiterate that graphics power doesn't matter to the switch. However, I still think it's a big reason why Nintendo consoles don't get 3rd party support.

Speaking of ColinWasRigh, it is my current favorite show they produce and I'm really looking forward to more episodes.

I love my PSVR. The only thing that's a letdown to me is the quality of 360 video. However, I didn't buy a PSVR to watch videos. I bought it to play games. And the games I've played have not disappointed me. I think truly high quality 360 video is a ways off. Also, I wish Sony would copy Hulu's virtual theater. Man, that thing so cool. It really makes the default ethereal screen seem very lacking. I'd love to see it be compatible with all the video apps (especially Vudu).

I thought Colin said he was going to play the whole game in VR?

He certainly did say that before. But from the gamecast it seems he didn't touch PSVR with the game at all and he is near the end. Although he said he was playing at his girlfriend house so he might not have his PSVR with him.

I'm pretty sure he said he didn't.

Edit- Oh, you were talking about the Gamescast. On PS I Love You XOXO, he confirmed he didn't have his PSVR with him, but said he might try it out, starting at a particular save point (apparently it's right before the player has a choice to make or something).

Looking at the topic, someone definitely will, and it'll be a doozy

Yeah. That particular one is gonna be something else, just for the fact it has politics in the name. I bet some people won't even watch it, yet comment in the thread. I'm kind of scared to read it.

After reading that new Colin was Right thread, it's no wonder he left neogaf lol, people rip him apart on this board.
Seriously...

It was a great episode. Certain people do not argue his points but just ridicule him on others while completely missing the core message. Fuck that.

I read Rand, loved The Fountainhead, but kinda hate her world view and am absolutely not Libertarian. SHOCK!

That's because some people who commented didn't even watch the video. There were people who actually admitted as much.

Funny watching the video about promoting political discussion, whether or not you agree with the message, then seeing the thread where people refuse to listen to him at all because of his political views.

Whole thread was basically:

Just caught up with the first part of this weeks GoG. And oh my god... Tim and Kevin's adventures in New York are alltime KF material, holy shit. :D

Nick worked at a Boompas Pizza I used to go to a long time ago.

Also, it was funny. One semester I would eat off campus a lot at Riverside Plaza. I was eating there one day while listening to GoG when Nick mentioned how he used to go there all the time to eat :D

Are you from the Inland Empire?

lol I honestly don't know what that is but I remember Nick mentioning it a few times. Have you ever walked by the poor tree that is surely stripped of all its bark after years of enduring the punishing strikes from Nick?

The first episode of Ask Kinda Funny Everything is up! Ask Kinda Funny Anything - January 2017: Greg

Remember: If you want to submit a question, you need to be a Patron at the $15 level.

Edit- I can't wait for the next GOG. Colin's topic will surely be about immigration. He is really going hard against Trump right now: https://www.facebook.com/appealtoheaven/posts/10103273598214749

Edit 2- The second episode of Ask Kinda Funny Everything is also up! Ask Kinda Funny Games Anything - January 2017: Colin

Edit 3- Kinda Funny: The Animated Series - Ep. 8 "VR Porn"

Love the latest episode of the Animated Series, so funny, big fan of tron. Also it was really cool playing on stream friday night, and killing Greg :)

By far the best episode of the Animated show yet.

My biggest critiscm and the reason why I don't really like the series is, that most episodes feel just all over the place. Firing jokes every second, I get that, but without a cohesive through-line half of them fell flat by default.

Appreciate the (I bet) immense effort, though.

It's by far the raunchiest ;p

So I really loved the ask Kinda Funny anything videos. Colin and Greg were genuine in a way they usually don't get to be.

Also, Hunter Pence is on the KFMS right now

Just watched that Colin was right video. Really interesting to hear from him. I did not see the Gaf thread the other day, but I am sure it was a bloodbath.

Never watched much of these guys before, but maybe I'll watch some of their other stuff now. Thanks!

Wasn't as bad as you'd expect tbh.

Whoa. That's neat. I know the guys don't like baseball all that much, but they reaaaaaaally should do an MLB The Show 17 thing with Hunter.

That thread only lasted a couple pages. It got preeeety bad.

I will post this here because I don't have the patience for shit-posting, so sorry for that :D

I was kind of surprised by Colins shallow analysis of the ResiVII sales on PS I love You. Not that I am saying that Capcom is necessarily thrilled by the numbers, but simply looking at Resi V and VI sales and compare them directly makes no sense. Change of market realities. Momentum trajectory of the franchise (V coming off of one of the best games of alltime. VI subsequently falling in sales and "bombing" critically, etc..). Huh. Greg picked up the slack at least somewhat, so there is that!

Also: His comment on Banner Saga was obviously not based on any research on the topic. Bummer.

(When I talk about shit-posting I mean responses like "Well.. of course his analysis is crap, because Coling SUCKS!". I am well aware that my post is rather negative :D)
