Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 | Final Previews are up

Honestly, it's one of those games that was made for the PC. I tried it on the the PS5 and Series X, they run like poo

Tried it on the PC, totally different story in every aspect.
thats why i have been reluctant to play the first one. They should have patch 60fps but since they are indie studio so its expected.

Surprised Reee hasn't banned talking about it.

But yeah, that thread delivers.
Its stated in the thread that they dont want to ban game threads anymore. Seems common sense is slowly crawling back even over there. And there are also quite a few people who are just looking forward to this game (these poor souls :messenger_grimmacing_)

Looks slow and tedious as hell

Lol. They should ban it. Cowards. Can't even stick to their own conviction.

I think they know…. Deep down….the the worm is turning on all that (from the insanity that hyperdrived during covid)

I'm convinced KCD2 will do what Witcher 3 did for CDPR. It will probably go down as the best immersive sim ever. Which is pretty cool, given how few AAA sims there are nowadays. Indiana Jones notwithstanding

The game seems to run really well.

Wow i know this is very early to judge but looking fantastic to base consoles! Quality (yuck!) modes stays at 30fps, and performance mode doesn't seems missing any features except res, and staying well above 60fps, and he tested it in both combat, horse riding and simple exploring.. so early impression looks awesome. :)

Some minor ambient occlusion and foliage.
Ok so performance is worth it probably. Though it is not capped yet it seems ?

The game seems quite polished according to previews, which is no small feat with a game as systemic as this one. They were pretty smart how they approached it. They took six years while iterating a lot on the same engine and systems they used previously; with a massive increase in budget, enabling them to polish a lot. Kind of what Nintendo did between BOTW and TOTK

They mentioned in a stream beg November that the game is basically finished. Just doing polishing and bugfixing at this time.

Also mentioned that it will NOT have Denuvo....and that they will try to bring it to GOG....whatever this means. Sounded like thats not fully their own decision.

Runs well but looks like Vaseline in performance modes.
I understand it's running at 60fps but couldn't see any clear indication the pro version was clearer than the FSR quality modes of the base systems (which seem pretty good).

The Pro is likely running at a lower resolution.

Sounds like a true gamer's game.
Disclaimer: Idk anything about the source.

Another one from the biggest KCD fan in the universe:

This gonna be glorious.

I'm certain most folks over there ain't real people. I refuse to believe these are actual people.

It's effectively like the original but with parallelism on CPU fixed and further tweaks from what I see. I've been playing KCD 1 lately and the ultra settings + .ini edits for things like shadow resolution and so on makes it look stunning and close to this. They have more vegetation and better character models in KCD2 of course there's only so much .ini settings can change.

Crytek's SVOGI is underrated for the years it was made and how good it performs. It's almost Lumen way before Lumen.

Unfortunately SVOGI was not present in PS4 / Xbox version of the first game (and for some reason it was activated on the recent switch release lmao)

Yeah because banning Hogwarts Legacy and Cyberpunk made them look like gigantic tools for the entire internet to laugh at.
Are Nextlander and Giantbomb still a thing?

Nextlander is, I still like Vinny / Brad / Alex. Although their opinions on KCD1 are beyond retarded.

Giantbomb, I dunno, don't watch their trash anymore. Don't care about a single person who works there lol.

PS5 Pro: 2160p/60fps upscaled from dynamic 1440p with PSSR (+60fps with VRR)

Seems great to me

Got a time to sit and see the previews, and I have to say the game is shaping up to be a huge hit this time. I've heard the experience for KCD2 is much better, as I remember KCD being a buggy mess when it came back in 2018, one of the reasons I never got it on release.

I like how they improved combat by steamlining it, made alchemy more intuitive, added smithing (which was a crime not having in the first game given Henry's origins), and made the whole world more interactable with more NPC reactions and such. If anything, more games, especially RPGs, should strive for the mechanical depth that KCD2 seems to have.

just playing the first one for the first time after release, just nuted Teresa, hate Crysis Engine, that shit is heavy for no reasson tbh

Happy to see the game performing well on consoles, means it must be well optimized. Also, previews already? They must be confident in the game being free of bugs.

So yeah, can't wait! Was considering putting this game on the backlog but all the positive early impressions make me think it'll be worth it to play day 1 without the need to wait for any patches.

If on PC check out PcGamingWiki, there's some stuff you can do to make it run better.

Didn't see the previews, hopefully this time you can run/horse sprint with clicking the L3 button and unlike the first game which you had to hold the B/circle button on consoles.
