Looks good, only the RAM requirement raises eyebrow - but I have no doubt it will run fine with 16GB as long as decently sized swapfile is on SSD.

Very good, I didn't expect 1060 in the minimum settings at all, this card will probably outlive me. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
I think the memory problem will be more pressing every year, from next year 32 will most likely become the norm for games.
I also see that they did a good job on the consoles.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
yeah I should but it's so long.
sequel is the same character correct?
It's not THAT long. Took me 100+ hours to beat but because I played in Extreme mode, which doesn't let you fast travel.

Yeah it's a direct sequel and picks up right after the first game. First KCD ends in a cliffhanger.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Oh wow they were able to add a Performance mode on console afterall.

Now how about a 60fps mode for the first game?

I own it but haven't even started a second of it.

Another game that will need upscaling and frame generation, to achieve playable frame rates....
And on the AMD site, this game is listed as FSR 2.2. If true, then anyone without an RTX 4000 GPU, that means no frame generation.

Why not?

It will usually be the case for most multiplatform games because it's in and around the Series S.

I called it back in 2020 that this would be the case throughout the gen:

Seems about right considering the 1060 is just over 4 teraflops.

By this point in the gen the least powerful current gen console is always the anchor.

If it's without upscaling, it looks pretty good. Seems to be quite scalable.

It has a normal duration. If you just go through the story 40-45 hours, but if you climb into side quests - 80 hours, and a full cleanup, as they correctly said, can be stretched out for 100 hours. But honestly, there is no point in quickly running through this game, this game has so many historically accurate details and in fact it is a museum, so it is better to slowly enjoy the process =)

Seems quite heavy on the CPU looking at those requirements. “Unlocked with VRR” makes sense in that context.

For PS5 I hope they enable LFC for it to be a bit better with VRR. For the Pro hopefully they can implement PSSR well, or the issues with it get resolved by then.

No, I'm even happy about it on one hand.
I just really want to see how it will work on such a config, and the main thing is how it looks at it - it's still CryEngine, and it's a capricious bastard. :messenger_grinning:

So I guess they used the same engine as I was able to play 2160p@60 with some low options with a 4070 last summer.

Hopefully, they have learned that CPUs have more than one thread. First one still runs like shit.

First one uses all 8 of my CPU threads and I am getting over 100fps in the most demanding place in the game..
Not single-threaded anymore, but runs terribly. Extremely low GPU usage.

LOL a 4080 to play the game at 4k 30 fps. Basically, you need a 4090.

C’mon guys, who the hell plays PC games at 30 fps? GTFO.

Black Myth had the same requirement for 4k but looked 10x better.

Will be there day one. Have to play the first one. Started on ps4 and stopped playing because of the long loading. I lost hope on the 60fps update on the first one.

There's no reason to die on ultra graphics settings. Its gonna be the same deal as MH:Wilds. Lower a couple of settings to High and use frame generation to try and reach 90-100 FPS.

If you don't like it, vote with your wallet.

The gpu side seems solid, especially for under 4k resolutions, but damn them cpu requirements.
Thankfully pc requirements are usually exaggerated, although the first game was very cpu intensive, Well in certain parts of the game, while in other parts cpu usage would be quite low.

Hopefully this game is better optimized in that sense.

I will. Just like I did with stalker 2.

Other than Witcher 3, KCD is my favorite open world game set in a midevil/fantasy world. I reiterate that it's the only game I have pre-ordered for 2025 right now. I don't really pre-order games like that anymore. Very excited.

After a couple of hours of looking at 31fps in the first game, my eyes hurt too much to continue playing. I quit and never returned.
Tom from DF says they eventually fixed that, but Tom isn't the most reliable source of information.

I like that they are doing only a 4K/60fps mode on the PS5 pro. I hope other devs do the same for the pro. They need to get rid of all of those different modes and keep it a simple 4K/60 fps like Mark Cerny explained in the ps5 pro deep dive.

Glad to see performance modes and talk of 60fps for PS5 Pro. Would have been an absolute disaster if it was locked at 30 like the first game. Bring on February!

Looking forward to this one. Hopefully I'll have a new PC built in time because my current build from 2018 with a i5-9600K probably isn't going to cut it.

Also, does anybody else find it weird that the recommended settings for 1080p at high suggests a 12600K whereas the medium references a 13600K?

If it’s without DLSS, that should be palatable. If I lower settings a bit, turn DLSS on Quality with output to 4K, I should get 60fps or higher even on my 3080Ti with 7800x3D.

After you will cry if the mode is not good you expected and you can’t change anything
