Huh....
Well I wasn't expecting that....
I did.
If a game for the series were to be made, then it was either going to be a Dynasty Warrior type of game or a SRPG. Since Koei got first dibs, this was to be expected.
The guy who wrote the original novels for Arslan also wrote Legend of the Galactic Heroes as well as Tytania.
Well yeh, the game makes sense but I just wasn't expecting the next collaboration to be that IP haha.
I really hope we get a DoA 6 sometime soon.
Considering "next-gen" development is already underway, I guess it's pretty safe to assume that they're developing games for NX, being that it's the only one we know about that's coming out in the next 1-2 years.
I don't think we'll see it until next year tbh. DoA 5 expansions are still selling well.
Also, it's rumoured we may get official confirmation of DW9 at this event in August (If not TGS) for a 2016 release.

Last generation developers kept saying next gen till at least 2010. It's a phrase without meaning but no doubt they will have NX games in the works.
As well as this there are brand new titles such as Level 5s collaboration, Romance of the Three Kingdoms Monsters. There are also other titles such as ROTK: Legion and ROTK: Cao Caos Legend that will be releasing. There will also be a special anthology of Romance of the Three Kingdoms titles from the past 30 years titled Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Feudal Warlord in Japan.
-To introduce new and existing IP on new multi platform such as Smartphone, online, Next Generation console and other new platforms such as project Morpheus
Koei Tecmo confirmed that more collaborations are on the way. One title in particular is being developed with the Western market in mind and is currently being prepared. Whilst no details are being given yet, Koei have told us to look forward to a collaboration with a huge western IP. Negations are still on-going and final development plan has not been decided yet.
great thread zhuge!
any word on their pc ventures or how they see their platform?
Considering the context it was spoken in, it seems the distinction between what's current and what's next-gen was already made.
Could ZhugeEX perhaps clarify the statement?
Wow, I didn't know about any of those, thanks for the info and great OP.
I'm assuming they're all Japan only titles for now?
Also nice avatar, that's a great TV series.
