Konami announces sold Metal Gear of plays over 14millions

01.12.04 - Konami communicates that of the Metal Gearseries world-wide to today altogether 14.630.000 plays were sold.

With Metal Gear solvent 3 Snake Eater one wants to increase this value to 20 million units: The play is available since 17.11.04 in the USA, in Japan comes it to 16.12.04 into the shops and into Europe in February 2005.

Edit: Oh, wait, 6 Million MGS3 sounds do-able... I thought that meant 20,000,000 MGS3 alone.

This means they think MGS3 will sell more than MGS2. I don't know if that's true. Certainly a better game, but significantly less hype and somewhat damaged goods because of the Raiden thing. But here's hoping it does much better.

Yea I don't believe it will do it either. Acid will probably set them over the mark depending on if Sony screws up the PSP launch.

I've been trying to suggest MGS3 to any customers that show even the slightest interest in military-type games. Sold a few people so far but still have this whole month to go. Just so much out there right now...

They probably have (much) better chance of achieving some reasonable sales with the PSP port. I think the game would go completely unnoticed on the Xbox. Hell, I don't think it will do that great on PS2 either :\

They're gonna have to push this game hard if they want to get those numbers. I don't think the game will sell more than MGS2. People need to give the true Snake a chance :|
