It might be a good tool for helping people deal with that.

As soon as I tried VR and it started activating my fear of heights, I realized it might indeed be a good tool for therapy. I'd love to see real scientific studies into its effectiveness. Utilize a very realistic demo that puts people with anxiety disorder into scenarios with large crowds and see if they can get acclimated to that environment; put people who are afraid of flying on simulated flights and so on and so forth. There's lots of potential application that I'd love to see real studies done to see if there is any meaningful improvement in the lives of patients affected by various phobias or mental disorders.

Bullshit. I have the DK2 and VR porn is by far the best and most convincing VR content out there easily. Head tracking isn't even the best part about it, what makes the experience really immersive and surreal is the right scale that the actors look and feel. This is something that is unique to VR from all other mediums.

VR porn, like traditional film on VR simply sucks when it's not using a 3D engine. My mission right now it seems is to get that out there. Too many people seem to think it must be really cool. Having no translation makes VR not VR, and the field of view warping is never quite right. Once they do start using 3D engines you will probably have a much better experience. The question is can people get off to CGI essentially? It's not impossible. There are incredibly impressive full body scans out there that if animated well might be pretty cool...
