I've really tried to get into her latest offerings, but all three of Gaga's most recent releases have left me nonplussed at best, annoyed at worst.

Judas > Edge of Glory > Born This Way

I'll admit that she sounds good, but I just felt like I was listening to a 6-minute chorus, as someone described it. Also, Gaga: you have essentially unlimited resources in crafting this album, and yet you resort to some awful '80s synth saxophone instead of the real thing?

Not getting my hopes up about the album. :/

Ummm, it's Clarence Clemons

Duly noted. I guess I wasn't listening with the volume high enough to notice; even in listening to it again, I still think the timbre of the sax blends with the synths and gets washed over to a certain extent. :/

Yeah it does, and it does sound like an 80s play during the credits song,
I like it though. I can't wait for this album

Thats probably why its my favorite of the three singles released so far.
I have a feeling that You and I is going to remain my favorite on this album though

Edge of Glory put so much Joy in my heart.... With Judas and This I have no doubt this Album will be so much more addicted for me than any other album in the past 5 years, dammit can't believe how good this song is :D

It's going to be a two-way race between the new Gaga and the new Beastie Boys for album of the year. Unless Detox finally comes out. Then it'll be a three way race.

I will give this album a DL and check it out, then listen to Confessions on a Dance Floor and remember the good ol days of pop

I really hope you don't seriously consider Confessions on a Dance Floor to be 'the good ol' days of pop'

Hooked on Edge of Glory right now. Yes it's eurovision-ic, but if you are shameless it works out ok.

iTunes store just got updated. HYPE

I'm glad I like Edge of Glory, because I was beginning to think this album would be a big disappointment to me.

Faith slightly restored.

Anyone think there's potential for an unreleased song off the album to be bigger or better than any of the 3 songs already released? Serious question. I don't know how this stuff works. Do they usually release the album's best stuff first?

Yes? Dance in the Dark is my favorite song of hers and she didn't released it(in the US) as a single.

Monster is objectively the best song on The Fame Monster and it was never released as a single.

Edge of Glory is SO GOOD! Had it on repeat for the last 20 minutes, and I'm loving it. Whoever said it sounded like it was left on the cutting room floor of an 80s movie was right on. Definitely my favorite of the 3 tracks released so far, and a hell of a way to close the album.

Edge of Glory sounds like My Life Would Suck Without You and Firework after being mixed in a blender, but I still enjoyed it.

Kinda hyped for the album.

Is it just me or do BTW and EOG have a similar sound?

I just want a new Pokerface/Just Dance/Telephone :\

A return to traditional pop music would be nice.

I just want to say to the Gaga Faithful. I will always have reservations on Gaga; but I will not deny her legitmancy as the biggest pop star in the world at this time. Only came to that realsation after the HBO show. Not my cup of tea but she has the ears of the world now.

Fuck, I'm so HYPED for this album. Listening to all my Gaga stuff on shuffle.

On a related note, some of her unreleased stuff is her best work, it's disappointing she didn't put more of these songs out, so that I could get untagged versions of her songs :|

For those of you who haven't heard the incredible tracks Gaga hasn't decided to put out, you should try to find some. Or, I could....direct you to a few of them ;)

My favorites:

1) Fooled Me Again (piano ballad that's better than Brown Eyes or Again Again)
2) Let Love Down (another piano ballad, also great)
3) Fever (a little bit more Rock n Roll than Adam Lambert's cover)
4) Future Love (piano ballad that should have made it onto The Fame)
5) Animal (people thought it was a leaked BTW track, but could have definitely fit in well on The Fame Monster)

This song is addicting.. And doesn't burn out as quick compared to Born this Way.

So far, Judas > Edge of Glory > Born This Way Acapella >>>> Born this Way (Studio)

It was a single in Puerto Rico.. Well.. I think so. They played it a few times on the radio over there when I was visiting for Christmas.

Speaking of singles- since Edge of Glory is a promotional single.... It'll be played on the radio right? Or is it an online only kind of thing?

It can be played on radio. It debuted with 2M AI on radio. Which is pretty big actually.

FUN
NY
FACT: All three of those songs have the same beat!

I wish she would put out something along those lines as well.

Oh god the expanded edition actually has 3 extra songs on it that AREN'T remixes! I guess I have to get that one, huh?

That's crazy. She didn't do that with her first two albums, did she? There was only one standard edition for both Fame and Fame Monster, right??? RIGHT!?

I will hate myself if I've missed tracks :p

So edge of glory is going for adds on Monday. This means its very likely to become a single now.

If you ask me Interscope is looking very desperate just because she doesnt have a major hit going on right now. They should wait til the album releases and see what the fans, public and critics like. There's a reason why Marry The Night was set for 1st single at one point.

My guess is that they decided to make EOG the next single since the reaction to it was so strong - it's #1 on itunes and smashing on pop radio in just 1 day so...

I'm very glad EOG is getting thier attention. It became my favorite single of the last three songs after 24 hours of listening to it.

Btw, whats does 'adds' mean?

Guys, just a reminder: we're not going to come to your house and make sure you're not pirating anything, but please don't flaunt it.

If you need to type *cough* and then put your next sentence in spoilers to hide it, alarm bells should be going off in your head telling you that you're probably doing something wrong.

Obviously people shouldn't mention pirating officially released material, but how about live bootlegs, unreleased material, collections of old single b-sides that are no longer officially available (except through buying used copies of the singles) etc., stuff that the artist/band technically wouldn't lose any money on?

We'll be as lenient as we can. We're not looking to be jerks about this -- I don't personally believe piracy is an especially serious crime, but that doesn't mean I want to implicitly facilitate it.

Most of the materials you're describing aren't copyrighted and/or those copyrights are no longer enforced, so it doesn't even fit the definition of piracy even if we wanted to be mean.

Unreleased material, however, definitely still counts. Assuming we're talking about stuff that will be released but hasn't yet. If we're talking stuff that just never came out, that's fair game.

Use your heads here. There's really one rule: does this product usually cost money? If the answer is yes, don't post it. If the product does not cost money and/or is not actually produced as a final good or service, go right ahead.

I can't pick a favorite between the three. They're like my three favorite tracks from Mario Kart. Born this Way is Mario Circuit (ICONIC, SERIES STAPLE), Judas is Bowser's Castle (BADASS), and Edge of Glory is Rainbow Road (TRIP TO THE STARS AND HEAVENS)

Yes I am drunk

Yeah, I was talking about material that hasn't been, and most likely never will be, released. Demo recordings, unused songs, that kind of thing.

As for things costing money, some people do sell bootleg recordings, but these things should really be freely available (and selling bootlegs for money is kinda frowned upon in the bootleg community).
